Boot Up Adventures

I have completed several trips with Nik from Boot Up Adventures over the last 12 months.Being a solo booker I have always had a warm welcome, the group is always small so you very quickly make friends. Nik provides a detailed description of the start destination for a day hike or location for the weekenders so I've always confidently known where I'm going and what I need to bring.What sets Boot Up Adventures apart from others offering the same destination and hikes etc is the small groups and the outstanding food. On the weekend trips all food is provided, this isn't pre packed ready meals! Nik and his wife Des take hours preparing high quality Greek dishes from scratch, the food really is incredible! And manage to cater for dietary requirements and general likes and dislikes.The hikes always have a little Nik Path" so a change from the normal route and Nik shares information on the history

Great experience on the Hadrians wall weekend trip. Food was amazing. The whole group was very friendly and welcoming. Well organised and run by Nik from start to finish. Looking forward to more adventures with Boots up. Had a great time on the hikes. Then enjoying the company with food and drinks in the evening had a great laugh and time. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get out and do something new.

Great week on the WHW with Nik, brilliant strong confident leader, supportive, inclusive, organised, friendly, fun, great banter, best date bar snacks.Highly recommended, will def be back for another adventure with BUA. Thanks Nik!

Just finished a week end, with bootup adventures. I'm already getting withdrawal symptoms, lol. It was awesome. We arrived Friday, tea time , had a wonderful barbecue, Greek style. It was the best bar none. The time and effort, that Nik and his wife , Des had put into the food preparation, was self evident, and no one went hungry, even vegans are catered for.The main Saturday walk was, out of this world. A short hop , from the YHA, we were quickly into a memorable hike, gaining altitude at a fast pace, watching the views open up, before us. Fantastic.I was pleasantly tired at the end, six hours later. More great meticulously made , Greek fare.Then relaxing in front of the fire pit, for a nice alcoholic drink, with laughter and music. I'll definitely book again. What a great group of people, to spend the weekend with.

Amazing experience at the Yorkshire Dales. I travelled solo first time, but it was a very welcoming group so was put at ease immediately. Beautiful scenic routes and an excellent host who ensures everyone is looked after. Any novices out there, don't be afraid to sign on - no man left behind seemed to be the motto! Great food and atmospheric evenings are an added bonus. Highly recommend.

I've just come back from a weekend in the North Yorkshire Dales with Boot Up Adventures.And it was an amazing weekend.Stopped at Malham YHA, which was all booked for us, we just had to turn up on Friday and check in. Love a YHA Hostel.Nik, the Mountain Leader, turned up and then set up a fabulous Greek inspired evening meal. This really sets the standard other groups need to take note of.Starter, main and dessert. Unfortunately I was too busy scoffing to take pictures. He does have pictures on his website though.The meal on Saturday night was equally impressive.Nik provided ALL the food for the weekend, even walk sandwiches and snacks.Both days walks were all well organised without being military and different abilities were taken account of. Even on the scramble up Gordale Scar, for which many of the group were nervous, we were positively encouraged and safely supported. We all did the scramble. Credit to Nik for that.On Saturday's walk we did Janet's Foss, a couple of the group took a dip as well. Then Gordale Scar, and finished the circuit by taking lunch near Malham Tarn and then did Malham Cove from top to bottom. Fabulous.Sunday was a gentle affair that included Ingleborough Cave and Gaping Gill. The cave visit was covered in the cost of the weekend.On that note, this was a great value for money weekend and if I'm honest, I don't know how Boot Up Adventures do it all at such high quality for such a great price.Nik is a true personality who you can't fail to like. He clearly loves, and lives, what he does and wants others to love it as much.I've been on other events with Boot Up and will be going on more.Never been disappointed and always been impressed.

Complete the WHW with Nik. Memorable experience, day food & snacks was provided. Variety choices you can choose from. Excellent company people from group and always looking forward to the next adventure on the calendar.

Back home from an amazing weekend in Snowdonia with Boot Up Adventures.We arrived Friday evening, and after a warm welcome & introductions, Nik got to work on the best BBQ I have ever tasted.Saturday we hiked up Pen Yr Ole Wen onto the Carneddau - Carnedd Fach, Carnedd Dafydd and onto Carnedd Llewelyn. Then we took the scenic route along Llyn Ogwyn, before returning to the hostel for more amazing food and an evening with great company around the fire pit.I had a fabulous weekend. Nik is a great host, and a very knowledgeable guide. I'll definitely book again.
