I’d recommend A&M, and especially Billy, to anyone learning to drive. I was really anxious about driving generally and also trying to learn a new skill in my thirties, but Billy’s approach was perfect in combatting that. His goal was to make sure I felt safe and confident while driving, not just ready to pass a test (although I’m very pleased to have done that!). If you have any hesitation or wobbles about driving, Billy has a super calm and open way of dealing with it. A massive, massive thank you to Billy - I genuinely didn’t think I’d ever get here!

I was a really anxious learner but Andy has been the most incredibly patient, supportive and knowledgeable teacher, getting me through so many confidence issues and turning me into someone who is calm and competent on the road. He is a brilliant driving instructor. I have just passed my test with no faults!!! I am so happy and will be forever grateful to Andy for all of his hard work getting me to this point, I have really enjoyed being taught by him!!

There aren’t enough words I could write down to explain how brilliant my instructor Omar was. After having a bad experience learning to drive years ago, I was terrified to start lessons again, but then I met Omar at A&M school of motoring. Omar is the most calming, knowledgeable and encouraging driving instructor, who made all my lessons enjoyable. His methods were precise, accurate and very helpful, and I would not have passed first time, without his amazing teaching. I feel very lucky to have learnt to drive with Omar and highly recommend him for anyone seeking to learn. A massive thanks again to Omar, you’re amazing!

Today I passed my driving test with 1 minor. From day one, my driving instructor Rich, was always so polite. The environment was always very relaxed every lesson and always having a laugh together. He structure his lessons very well and made sure that I am comfortable with something before he moves on.Leading up to my test he was always reassuring me and helped improve my confidence in driving. Wonderful instructor and honestly a great guy!

I was learning to drive at 43 and was nervous to start with. And Bristol is not the easiest city to learn. Omar was a great instructor. Patient, easy going optimistic & explaining things well. Always on time. I felt that I was making progress quite quickly. Now I’m a happy driver. Also a nice bonus - loved the car Omar taught in!

Hi I went with Omar at A&M Driving SchoolAnd I definitely recommend him after passing with only 2 minors!Omar is a fantastic instructor, he was calm and patient with me when making mistakes and puts you at ease when feeling overwhelmed. We also had a few laughs too which made lessons very enjoyable. He had every lesson planned out and upon covering all driving criteria, lessons were tailored to better address my weak points. Omar has a great resource of diagrams, and an app with numerous videos to help review any problem I had. He offered great guidance and tips when it came to areas i was not so confident in and he has spot on methods for easy completion of manoeuvres. Omar also had me revise various road layouts and test routes in my free time for me to become fully equipped when facing them. Before my test we did plenty of mock tests to ensure I was fully prepared to drive under pressure. Lesson times were always flexible and he would pick me up and drop me off where I needed to be which made life so much easier. I cannot thank him enough!Thanks so much Omar

Billy is an excellent instructor. I passed my test 18 years ago but never drove much and lived abroad for many years. I then moved to Bristol, had a child and needed to drive again. I had quite a block in my mind about it. Billy listened so well to my story and was exactly what I needed in a teacher - calm, patient and encouraging. He asked each time what I wanted to get out of the lesson and what I needed from him. He taught me to recover from my mistakes quickly. He is brilliant at explaining and, even more importantly, gave me the confidence I lacked and the self-belief that I can be a good driver. Thank you so much!
