Double Room shower was shutting off and only had cold water. The bed slats were broken and the bed was uncomfortable.Breakfast was great in the morning. Though we wouldn't rate it at 4 stars.

Friendly staff but no towels in room, double room had one cup and no kettle. Shower completely broken and attachment just sat in shower tray. Hotel was FREEZING, had to give our heater to another room as we left as they were also freezing. We were in our outdoor coats at breakfast. WiFi doesn't work. No vegetarian option for breakfast. Numerous breakfast options on menu in room but only one thing available. Glasses in dining room stuck to the tray like they hadn't been cleaned. I understand getting what you pay for" as I tend to stay in cheaper hotels as its just somewhere to wash and sleep

Functional, good for the price. Quite a distance from Chester city centre (25 mins walk). Kind service and lovely breakfast. Some parts could do with a spruce-up. Bed very comfortable. Quiet location, was able to sleep with the window open all night. Room slightly hot at times as we couldn’t turn down the radiator, though generally unsure why they were on in August anyways.

Bathroom was clean, sheets looked alright and location is good as well. You have 4 parking spaces in the back of the hotel as well. At the end of the day you get what you pay for. Radiators don't work so you have to use the 600w electric ones provided. Issue is that you need at least 4-5h until the room gets warm.

I had a wonderful stay here when I visited the area. The landlord was amazingly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing and the landlord went out of his way to make me veggie sausages. My partner had the full English and loved it. The room was clean and the beds comfortable and the price fantastic value. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Arrived to no one answering the door after a few attempts. Decided to take our car round to the carpark. Unfortunately no car park on space to leave a car. Returned to front door was given key but room was disgusting tried a different room same again. Window broken lock. Cups filthy and room not inviting at all. Can't understand why this gets good reviews. Told person in charge we leaving. Went to stay at The Mill Hotel and Spa, which was absolutely fantastic. Would not recommend anyone going to Hamilton Hotel. Was told later gonna close for a refurb. Would suggest more like a demolition

Nice and clean b&b and quiet even though we had the windows open as it was warm. The bed was the comfiest, we had a great nights sleep, very friendly host. Good cooked breakfast. About 10mins from the station. Lovely stay.

Run the other way! My first red flag was that they didn’t take credit cards when I arrived, then it was the very run down room & bath, but the deal breaker was the cigarette smoke filtering up through my non-smoking room at 9:00 pm. Needless to say I left early the next day for another accommodation. Terribly depressing place, needs lots of help.

Not a great reception on our arrival. We had to ring the bell 3 times before anybody came to check us in. Room was clean and comfy, although the toilet seat was only attached by one hinge, so you had to do a balancing act to use the loo. Breakfast was nice, nice waitresses.
