Came to Mimi et Minas for my first salon experience post covid! long overdue hair cut and treatment.... left feeling fantastic, fresh and feminine - never expected such a result and with the coarse long 3B hair I have, believe I expected to be there all day! appointment was on time, hair wash divine and blow-dry; no burns! my cut has survived the first fortnight and I've already booked another appointment for 8 wks time! love this place and highly recommend Becky, magic hands and beautiful heart!

I had my first visit to the salon today. Becky’s amazing hands completed transformed my natural Afro mane. Becky was absolutely brilliant and gave me lots of haircare tips for ongoing maintenance. Excellent and professional service. I came for a wash and style and my experience was incredibly positive. The appointment started on time and I had my entire service done within two hours. I came from NY especially to visit this salon and it was worth the time and effort.

This was my very first visit to Mimi et Mina as I usually get my hair done in an afro hair salon on Gloucester Road in Bristol. I arrived a bit early for my appointment given the new coronavirus restrictions and had my temperature taken before I was allowed in. It is obvious that attention has been paid to the aesthetic appeal of the salon as the design and layout is chic and modern. My hair stylist was Madouss who was very personable and did an excellent job throughout from washing (with a head massage thrown in) to treating and then styling my afro hair. The other staff that I interacted with on the day were all pleasant including Mimi herself. The only thing I would change about the entire experience would be the cost of £165 for a wash, blow dry, moisture treatment, trim and cornrows. This seemed a bit inflated to me considering that I did not have any hair extensions/braids and was far more expensive than I have ever paid in Bristol. Nonetheless, I would recommend this salon and my stylist because of her talent and customer care but be prepared for the steep London prices.

Initially pleased with my salon visit, my satisfaction quickly turned to dismay when I discovered a burn on my skin caused by the stylist's hair straighteners. Despite being a loyal customer since their opening, the response to my concern was defensive and disappointing. The blame was shifted onto me, alleging excessive movement, which I dispute. It's disheartening that a salon I've supported for so long would handle the situation this way, especially without a warning during the appointment. Still awaiting a response to my email.

The service I received was impeccable! I was given amazing advice on how to care for my hair and left very satisfied with my look. Mimi, Rhodiane and Becky were all so kind and the atmosphere of the salon really added to the wonderful experience!

Excellent experience from the moment I walked into the salon until the moment I left, both Vanessa and Rhodiane made me feel welcome, relaxed and comfortable. My hair was handled with care and I was given tips to maintain it at home. Very much looking forward to my next appointment. Thank you!
