Pleasant place to stop for a drink and snack. The staff are very friendly and the pastries are delicious.

I just went to the Costa stand at Darlington Station and was helped by a bearded gent, who happened to be the store manager, Michael and he was wonderful. Don’t let all the “man with a beard” reviews put you off.

Costa Darlington rail station version of a flat white is a cup of milky hot water in too big a cup. When I took them back and told them, the woman's response was oh". She tipped them down the sink without offering me a replacement or refund. Terrible coffee

Guy with a beard was rude and sarcasticVery sarcastic when we made our order stating “I don’t know I might make you a drink” then he went on a rant about how he didn’t want to be there as he’s just came back from holiday for a week. We waited patiently for our drinks but he was intentionally doing it slowly even after we told him our train was coming soon. Our train arrived and he slowly walk to the hatch and handed us our cups. We’re lucky we only just made the train.

Aggressive service by Mike Hagan. Legit think he may have baked the croissants himself as he was so upset and defensive when I politely asked if I could change one when it was stale. Became strangely angry and called me a croissant connoisseur... didn't really get the aggression? Seemed to take things way too personally. Suppose he really likes croissants. Croissant Connoisseur does have a nice ring to it actually, cheers Mike. Yours, Croissant Connoisseur x

Guy with beard is super rude every single time. He’s snappy and unreasonable about the simplest things, he makes me feel like I’m bothering him just to ask for a cup of tea! After using this costa several times a week for the past few months, I’ve become so uncomfortable with this guy’s attitude I’m just going to use Pumpkin instead.

A lovely selection of coffee to try. Sometimes really busy and there is a lack of seating. Serves a small selection of sandwiches and cakes, all fresh and tasty. I can especially recommend the toast which is alway hot and crispy, not expensive either. The cafe is all on the level so suitable for people with walking difficulties, although space could be a problem for wheelchairs. Staff alway friendly and willing to help.
