Despite the nicely painted signs there was no child’s play area, although there was a beer garden. Typically smelly and dirty toilets finished the first of school I kemp’s pub vibe. Nice enough fellow at the bar, but don’t take your family. Didn’t have food.

Anyone with children be aware that the play area is no longer present and this pub now only has a beer garden to the disappointment of my daughter. Not the fault of the pub, just a shame is all.Other than that the pint was nice and the pub itself was definitely the type of place I'd go again, just not with kids.

Wow! Brilliant friendly pub! They have a skittle alley which was awesome to see. New owners are incredibly welcoming. Can't wait to come back, maybe even for a quick game of skittles

Was charged £26 for two pints, and three kiddy drinks...more expensive than London!!just adding a response to the pubs response...the 'kiddies' are two and half, we sat in an empty garden and disturbed no one...neither of us smoke!PPS so everyone can make their own minds up i was charged £26 for a pint of 'neck oil', a pint of non descript IPA, 2 x J20s and a half pint of coca cola (!!)

Great place to stay, fab friendly staff and lovely comfortable rooms, we stayed here for a triathlon and it suited us very well. Breakfast was superb alsoThankyou
