Little hotel,close to the railway station, (approximately four minutes away) handy for the bus,about 10 minutes walk away from town, but lots of local pubs and restaurants nearby, especially nice as being near the river, no breakfast

Terrible hotel, incompetent staff, dirty rooms that stink of weed, black mould all across rotting wall in room 9. Bedsheets not on bed in room 15, we reported TWICE and still wasn't sorted when we got back and were told to make the bed ourselves. Incredibly loud noise all night above room 3 which sounds like a boiler, didn't get any sleep. Told our other friends room would be ready in a few minutes when we checked in, almost an hour later we managed to pry the key off of them. AVOID THIS HOTEL, IT SIMPLY ISN'T WORTH IT, pay an extra £20 and stay at the premier Inn across the street

I stay here on work trips and I got to say this place is really decent safe and clean . The sweet lady who owns it puts her heart in to it. It’s not the ritz but for the price the rooms are decent and the beds are super comfy and always had fresh nice smelling sheets ….. thank you for being a good host :)

Staff lost my booking and couldn't resolve it for a worrying amount of time, despite my booking emails.Eventually given keys and stayed in room 9 which was boiling hot but not because of the heating, there were pipes under the floor and in the walls. The room was sweltering 24/7 and very hard to open the windows which were covered in condensation. This room also had black mould and smelled very stale.

I do not recommend anyone stay here. I did not have any bedding or towels here, so I reminded the staff during check in and they said they would get onto it. Later when I returned in the evening there was still no bedding or towels. I complained to the staff and they seemed to make it my problem? After being insulted by the staff they directed me to the laundry closet where I had to get the bedding myself and make my own bed!!! Never in my life have I had to make my own bed in a hotel, it’s the bare minimum to provide a bed ready made. The room was tiny and noisy. It also smelt damp and my friend’s room literally had black mould in it.Do not stay here, I am amazed they are in business with this level of service.

A budget hotel but the rooms are very good for the price. Clean, good beds and shower. Parking in rose lane is good value and very close.

The rooms may seem small but they are great in appearance and very comfortable and also quiet which surprised me a lot, plus there are takeaways near by I would definitely recommend to others and stay there again.

Stayed for 2 nights, room 4. When returning to our room on the 1st night we discovered the door to our room would not lock from the inside. Didn't sleep well at all for the 2 nights. The room had coffee and tea making facilities but no spoon to stir the drinks. The shower room was clean, but the shower cubicle was small, the shower curtain was too long and draped over the floor so the floor got wet. The vent axia in the shower room was due a service, dirty and full of cobwebs. The bedroom had damp patches above the curtains and the room smelt unpleasant. The bed was clean and comfortable but although a 4ft 6inch double felt cramped. The staff when we arrived were pleasant but not prepared for us. Didn't see any reception staff after our arrival. Only saw the cleaning staff so got extra washroom supplies. We booked a deluxe room but it wasn't. Overpriced for what we had. Not happy about the lock on the door not working.
