The Print House Inn
We booked onto a wine tasting at nearby Chapel Down and wanted to stay locally and a Google search led us to The Print House. Looking for a nice romantic getaway we paid a little more to stay here, but were so glad we did as the bar, decor, hosts, rooms and food were a cut above your average hotel stay. During booking Seonaid (the owner) let us know we could park just out front, check in a little early and that they also could ferry us to and from Chapel Down (for less than the cost of a taxi one way!) On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owners and their gorgeous labradors Hetty and Martha, and thoughtfully whipped up a quick bite in the bar (Kentish meat platter definitely recommended) before leaving for Chapel Down. We ate dinner in the bar that night, and whilst the menu is relatively modest, we were promised fresh food and that’s exactly what we got. Nice selection of beers on tap and more gin than you could sample in a week of trying. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with great smelling local toiletries and breakfast the next morning was served with the same warm smile and thoughtful conversation we had our whole stay. Thoroughly recommended.

We had the warmest welcome from Seonaid and Andrew in this lovingly restored grade two building. Lunch was a real surprise with down to earth unpretentious food, I will be back for more chocolate brownie, gooey and unctuous! Thank you

The Print House Inn
The stay at the Print House Inn was great from the very start. A warm welcome and assistance to park. Arranged a really quick delicious lunch as we had a wine tour at Chapel DownThe room was great, comfy bed, nice tv, lovely shower and a fan as we stayed in the Sept heat. Breakfast a choice of continental or cooked in a nice relaxed setting.We didn’t eat dinner here but we certainly will in the future. I would strongly recommend staying here.

I booked here for my partners birthday and I wanted to let everyone know what a great find it is. We stayed in the Authors suite, which has the most comfortable bed and a gorgeous freestanding bath. We were walking distance from Montalbano where we went for dinner. The staff are lovely. We will be back to stay and go to chapel down vineyard for some wine tasting and stumble back for supper! Thanks for having us

We had a wonderful Sunday evening meal here tonight. There were 15 of us and service was seamless. Staff were wonderful with the children in our group and the food was delicious. It’s a shame we live 4 hours away or we would be back every weekend!

We stopped in for the all day brunch (finishes at 4) and were SO impressed. Beautifully prepared, high quality ingredients, really generous serving and good value. We always enjoy this venue and look forward to our next visit

The Print House Inn hosted a 60th Birthday celebration for a family member and did a fantastic job with arrangements for the day. They even added some further vegetarian and vegan options to the menu as several in our party had very specific dietary requirements.The food was excellent. We also had the unexpected delight of a fanatastic solo singer adding to the lovely atmosphere. Above all, the staff were exceptionally good and caring, doing their utmost to make everything just right. Hats off and thanks to the whole team at The Print House for making the event so memorable.

Beautifully presented traditional pub interior with authentic timber beams and other historical features. A range of meals to suit all-comers and served in roomy surroundings.Slightly more expensive than is typical but above average in flavours presentation and quality.Recommended

This place is absolutely gorgeous place the attention to detail, the menu, the extensive wine list and the host is exactly that! A really pleasant person who takes time out to have a chat and make you feel comfortable.I would highly recommend The Print House Inn to anyone wanting a great experience!

Super stay at The Print House Inn for one night and dinner. The room was lovely and very quaint. Large bed and lovely bedding. The pillows could have been softer, but the rest of the room we couldn’t fault. Only given four stars as we felt the dinner could have been better. Goats cheese starter would have been really improved if the goats cheese was warm in order to bring out the sweetness and the sauce on the steak was very watery and the white beans accompaniment really didn’t help the steak.Service and hospitality of the whole team was great.
