Nene Valley Railway (Peterborough)

Great experience travelling in a steam train.

As usual an excellent day outMy second time this year.Lots more activity than at Easter.

Best experience possible. I was with little one to visit that place and i had as much fun as my son there. Is nice day out in Peterborough

I travelled back in time on the steam train to Peterborough from Wansford. It was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday. The smells and sounds of the steam train take you back to the time before diesels. The seats are lot more comfortable than today's LNER Azuma.The added plus at Peterborough is that there is also a display of the RTV, which should be seen. If the funding for the project hadn't been cut, the plan was for London Kings Cross to Edinburgh in 90 minutes.Peterborough Station on the Nene Valley Railway is a great spot to see the steam trains be uncoupled and then move on the other tracks to go to the front of the departing carriages.

The volunteers of the nene valley railway made a great evening of the fish & chip run with the special train,Bahamas, based on a 1950s theme,they never dissapoint on what ever they do and a great friendly atmosphere. Thank you all.

We went on a Fish and Chips Tea train ride.The station was well sign posted and easy to find, car parking was at a bit of a premium, the station and its environs are clean and well maintained, staff are friendly and helpful.The train itself was again pretty clean and well maintained and was pretty comfortable, staff on the train were great, but a bit pushed when handing out the fish and chip meals.Toilets at the station were clean and fresh, cafe was nice and the beverages and snacks were of a good quality.Would I go again, yes if in the area and i would book a particular journey in advance and book seats.Good afternoon out.

Brilliant trip on Santa's train everyone very friendly and food was great. Grandchildren loved seeing Santa he was good too and lovely gifts for the kids

Interesting, green and based on trains. Very good
