Wappenbury Wood Nature Reserve
Ancient deciduous woodland of magnificent quality. So lucky to have these remnants of our great woodlands preserved and conserved by the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. Immense fields of under canopy bluebells amongst other woodland species together with fauna of rare butterflies and quintisential British broad leaved woodland birds. Stunning - do check out Bubbenhall Wood (less than a mile and 15 minute walk away) as well. Welcome to Dunmore Living Landscape.

Lovely walk but also a bridle path and ground very rutted and hard. Bit of an ankle breaker in places. Would probably be fine after some rain. Don't be put off, bluebells are beautiful and lovely views across fields in some places

Great part of nature, which is forest nearby Coventry. Easy access and connection with Ryton Pools Country Park makes that place good to spend time on long walk in the woodlands. Paths are long and well marked, so it's many reasons for a great time during the Trail.

This reserve is a large semi-natural ancient woodland. It is rich in plants, butterflies and birds. Please note that Wappenbury Wood is closed to the public on Wednesdays and Saturdays.Mentioned in the Domesday Book, records show that Richard of Wappenbury was given modest rights over the woods. By the end of the 15th Century, the wood was known by its present name and provided a source of fuel, building materials and hunting opportunities for the local community. There's space for park but just lybye on the road and few spaces not much.

Beautiful walks with 2 circular trails, There is plenty to take in and look out for lots of fungi.. The trails are mostly natural mud trails or crushed stone. There are lots of signs informing that dogs aren't permitted and that no public access is granted on Wednesdays or Saturdays for hunting..

This was a lovely walk with several options for shorter or longer treks. We did get a bit lost but there are the odd 'you are here' maps dotted about so we managed to correct our going in circles! Be warned- gets extremely slippery and muddy!

Larger than most woods and enjoyable walk through them and surrounding areas. Nice and quiet, great place for a picnic and witnessed people doing so in the woods. Highly recommend for a long walk.

A beautiful piece of woodland, absolutely stunning. Spent a couple of hours i there today on my bike riding the trails, fairly easy going and I didn't see a soul apart from wildlife. I should imagine it gets boggy after some rain, but for a fine summer day it's a fabulous ride or walk.
