Be wary of their cancellation fee. They charged me as soon as they read my message (confirmed by my bank) but then, when I phoned to ask if someone else could bring the dog in, tripped over whether the slot had been filled or not and, I suspect, it had been. If it was, well, I guess you got a free £55.My understanding in years of working in an NHS setting is that you never charge at the point of cancellation but only after you aren't able to fill the gap. Not minutes after seeing the cancellation message. Just a bit off putting.

Love this shop. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there's a good selection. There's also a sweet parrot called Coco who lives in the shop.

Great wee petshop, they have a lovely African grey parrot called Coco there who likes to chirp away and tear up cardboard whilst you browse. My dog is obsessed with their ham and cheese treat sticks.

I popped in today looking for Christmas pressies and advice for my own dog and I could not recommend Dofos more. The sales associate spent lots of time with me and gave great recommendations. It is amazing to have such a reasonably priced independent pet shop who really care about their customers!

The council have made parking near it, or crossing over the walk by car almost impossible. They are good, probably best places for locals thanks to Edinburgh Council and the trams.

A shocking experience with the groomer. I took my cocker spaniel in and explicitly asked to just trim the feathering on her legs and belly (as the muddy season is coming up), but the guy just buzzed her all over. What the hell? She doesn’t even look like a cocker anymore. They took £55 for the privilege. See the before and after pics.
