Ayr Eight Ball Pool Club

Definetly value for money ' if you love pool, me and 3 of my friends were there for 3 hours roughly... Not to sure as we were drinking but it came to £16 so definitely worth going to. Lots of fun.

The 8 ball club was fine, plenty of tables, I popped in on the cuff as a non member and played with my son for an hour. Cues were good table felts were in a decent condition. The place was clean, tidy and had a friendly atmosphere.

Lots of tables. Friendly staff and reasonable rates. Digital juke box and irn bru on draft. A few restaurants close by and plenty of parking. We spent 2 hours in here and had a great time.

I come from glasgow and come to ayr every month for a game if pool with my m8 the tables are great and you get a great munch too

Clean beer, child friendly until 6pm, juke box, true tables, reasonable pricing. Nothing fancy, but we had an absolute blast. Was everything we were wanting.

I went in last night 19/12/22 with my best friend my dad and two more of my friends, we were only going for a few games, but was a such a great night we just stayed there until close, Amy was very friendly and the customers were all having a great time, my first time in their with my dad for about 4 years, glad to be back 10/10

I visited there last week. It's a dark, dingy place stuck in the corner of a rather untidy back street of Ayr. The lighting inside the club is very poor and it has blacked out windows, as if it doesn't want to be noticed, which seemed odd.Inside, the bar is very small and placed in a corner where everyone seems to gather, making it overcrowded and awkward to get served. It's so small that the bar person hardly needs to take a step in any direction to pour anything that the bar has to offer, which really is quite limited.For a club that appeared to have many members and customers, to serve up in the way of food nothing much more than a toasted sandwich is a shame, and also that only one bar person employed to serve drinks, cook the food and serve it as well is a bit much to ask of a young employee.On the up side, if you are a dedicated fan of pool, the tables were good enough, the locals, members and customers seemed decent and cheery.To sum up, the location and the bad lighting of the place is off putting. The small crowded bar makes you reluctant to approach it for a drink. The music from the duke box isn't to everyone's taste and can be difficult to tolerate for any length of time. The owner appears not to like bad reviews written on the club's Facebook page, so deletes the bad ones and keeps only the good ones - hence why I have written this one here.I wouldn't recommend it, especially not recommended for a family or a child.
