Have shared my experience already but having read these reviews over the last year I ind it interesting that James Frew replies to all good reviews but to none of the negative reviews. My opinion.

I had a new boiler fitted in July, it all seemed to go well, however with thus cold snap, my system went down on Monday, called for an emergency appointment, but before they could give a time I had to pay a call out charge, we have boiler cover , and it is less 6 months old. However when he engineer came out , he quickly assessed that the condenser pipe had frozen, he did inform me because the pipe was outside that it should have been lagged, to stop this occurring. This was never mentioned at installation, and I would have thought that was an important fact , and they should have lagged said pipe. However this did not happen and on the coldest night of the year, we had no heating for 17 hours, with a disabled person in the house ( my wife), I am very disappointed with Frews service , and also charging me for pouring a kettle of boiling water over said pipe , I think they need to look at their customer aftercare .

Supposedly refused entry to this company twice to do checks in house was informed by the council today by letter today was the day they were scheduled to come so how can they be refused entry to a property and get letter sent and delivered on same daySide not we have a ring door bell and security cameras because there is a vulnerable person who lives at the property and haven’t seen anything in cameras or ring doorbell to suggest anyone other than the normal comings and going’sAnd also on letter been informed that if we don’t let anybody in next attempt they will force entry into property at our cost I would love to see them try I will be speaking to the council and local politician about this matter totally unacceptable

Young man arrived on time to do a routine gas boiler service .He was polite , covered his shoes(,to protect carpet).5* please pass on to his team leader he is very good at his job and s credit to your company

Called to set up a service plan. Very quick and efficient. The call person was excellent and very helpful.Plan set up and service arranged within minutes.

Like previous reviews, if I could give no stars I would, a dreadful organisation, Zoe"call hander very rude extremely disrespectful. They claim engineer called however both the call handler and the engineer were not aware of service buzzer. Call handler stated she has never heard of door entry before

I cannot recommend James Frew Gasure Plumbing and Heating highly enough. When my elderly mother had a heating pipe burst that caused the boiler to fail in the middle of a cold snap, they not only sent out an emergency heating engineer late at night to make safe the appliance but against all odds got the heating back on in 24 hours and had her hot water back in 48 hours. The can do approach of David Collins in particular made such a difference to the quality of service and meant my mother can spend Christmas in her own home. What an asset he is to his employer

Just had a repair done to my combi heater. The men arrived early and got on with the job in a professional manner. Very friendly and helpful members of staff. Did the job and explained to me what had been done and how to operate the new timer. Would recommend this company.

If I could give no stars I would. Our boiler has been broken for a week now, first engineer arrived to find a broken part which he sourced. The new part fitted and apparently not the fix, second part needed. Second part arrived and it was faulty, although I received a call that same day to say the engineer would be back for a 3rd time with the right part". Received a further call today after expecting an engineer and planning a day off of work to now say the part that was meant to arrive hasn't. Over a week without a boiler and no apologies

Just had a new boiler install. From surveyor to engineer the job went smoothly. Very professional. Staff we dealt with are a credit to this business
