Luxstowe Vets, Liskeard

The staff have been amazing upon having an emergency with my cat. They were considerate, lovely with myself and my daughter through the process of caring for my cat, whilst looking after our cat in a lovely manner. Thankyou!

AMAZING!! Can't thank the staff enough for the life saving care that my gorgeous dog Maggie has received over the last 2 days!!! I have been with Luxstowe for over 30 yrs and their service has always been 1st class! But when Maggie was taken very suddenly ill and was seen, diagnosed and in surgery within what seemed like minutes it was amazing! She is now home minus a spleen!! But alive and recovering thanks to this brilliant team! And the kindness that Tom and all the other staff showed was so well so kind!! Thank you so much from the whole family Quaintance.

Our Border Collie went in for a castration, and he was very well looked after, the staff were very thoughtful and considerate towards me, when taking him back to the kennel area, as the last time I'd been to this particular building was to say good bye to our beloved Border Collie Fizz and it was difficult to take Milo in and leave without him. They called me as soon as the surgery was completed and assured me all was well and when I could pick him up, when we did they didn't let us leave until we were fully happy about aftercare. Great staff.

What a fantastic service we received this weekend from Tom at Luxstowe in Liskeard. We had an emergency that was dealt with really effectively and efficiently and at all times we felt Tom had the best interests of our dog in mind. His manner was really sympathetic to our beautiful and beloved 3 year old Labrador as well as to us as distraught and fretful owners. He kept us informed of her progress throughout the whole 12 hour ordeal and we had her back home, minus a foreign object in her intestine, by 9pm.Considering he was our emergency contact from 6 in the morning, we absolutely could not fault the service.Thank you Tom for keeping her safe and well

Feel as though they were poor with our cat , and the treatment of her. They seemed slap happy with the treatment and diagnosis of her problems and didn’t really suggest or offer any advice with her diagnoses. Upon googling it suggests a lot more should have been offered and done :(

I thoroughly recommend Luxstowe. All the staff are kind, friendly and helpful. Our previous dog sadly suffered from Idiopathic Epilepsy & the care, expertise & support they gave to her & ourselves enabled her to make the best of her four short years.

I had been stressing a great deal about the possibility of our cat needing an anaesthetic for dental work, having lost a cat in these circumstances (not at this practice). Niamh was extremely thorough in her examination, and worked a miracle in that she managed to manually remove the offending plaque at the consultation. I was extremely impressed and grateful, no anaesthetic required! I am confident of the high standards of care at this practice.Anna and Niamh have also successfully treated Smokey so that he has normal stools after years of IBS. One very happy cat and owner!

I can’t thank luxstowe enough for their responsive and quality care for both my dogs and my own anxiety.I live on my own with my two elderly dogs, who are my world. The help they gave me was so valuable in this situation, when there are few people to discuss problems with on a daily basis.Recently one of my elderly dogs went through an operation I struggled to make decisions about. Their advice has been exceptionally thorough and they couldn’t have cared more for my dog throughout. He was in the very best hands with every detail of all his issues scrutinised and monitored. Thank you to all the team for getting him through this difficult operation.Previously when we first came to Luxstowe they immediately diagnosed a rare auto immune disease in my other dog who is a highly nervous rescue. They understood that continuity with a vet was required and they reached a treatment quickly that has now got my dog pain free, happy and stable. Her life has improved immensely thanks to her vet at Luxstowe.In both these elderly dogs, the prognosis for most of their problems is poor, so when there are such big improvements made, all our lives are elevated with more time to carry out our enjoyable ordinary lives.Thank you to all the team for their professional attention to both my dogs care and towards me.

Had to take my dog Fen in today for an out of hours examination and Lindsey was absolutely brilliant!! Cannot thank her enough for how good she was with Fen but also how amazing she was at talking it all through with me, and making me feel at ease. Fen was less thankful at the time of the examination but he’s already back to being more himself so I’m sure he’s very grateful now!!Luxstowe have never been anything but brilliant, with the big things and the small things cannot recommend them or thank them enough!!

Sue the vet was brilliant took time to check our dog explaining everything all the staff were brilliant friendly and caring . Nice to find a caring vets whilst on our holiday just like to add thank you for all your care and compassion with boo last night and today especially Sue and Ben with our loss od boo xx
