Waitrose & Partners Abingdon

I had an overwhelmingly positive experience at this branch of waitrose. The till operative (with pink hair) was very very helpful, warm and assisting and even helped me take my bags to the car, they were very strong! I will definately be back soon.

This is my local supermarket, I have lived in Abingdon for around six months at time of writing and have been to this Waitrose countless times.It offers a large range of products, has an onsite sushi, deli and cheese and bakery. More recently has had addition of a better cafe and the new “unpacked” which provides a way for customers to reduce the amount of plastic waste they produce by offering refillable solutions.I am very happy with the steps they have taken to reduce the amount of plastics they sell, and hope this trend continues. They also no longer sell plastic bags period, only bags for life which is great.The car park is quite large and also has great bike parking facilities.There is now an on-site cash machine which is very useful. as well as 2 car charging stations, however as of recently one has been out of action a lot.While this is a Waitrose and the prices are more expensive that other supermarket shops, specially on brands. This is known fact and if you are looking for cheap you would go else where.

Today, when buying nicotine products, they refused to serve me after checking my Ukrainian documents. I perceive this as a biased attitude of this company towards Ukrainians. There is no tolerance. The seller of African-American appearance behaved very rudely, not allowing me to say a word. I ask the management to take action against this employee.07.11.2023 2pm

Needs either a better algorithm or more staff at the self checkout -half were blocked by people needing a clerk's help, and the clerks were all scanning self shop. Store is lovely, but needs better resource in the self check out.

A fantastic store with such a variety and choices! There’s ample parking spaces and two hours are free parking.The store has lot to offer and some counter services that are not available in some other stores. For instance Deli Counter and self serving Coffee Beans grinding and serving ourselves.The place is inviting and is kept immaculately clean with efficient and helpful staffs.

Visited Abingdon Waitrose today and you were busy,but if you want customers to use self service then for goodness sake please ensure they work correctly and ensure you have staff available to correct the malfunction. Your staffing levels were very poor considering how busy you were. No member of management team around to manage the situation.

Another place where you can buy food to cook and eat or just eat without cooking it. Some food you have to cook or it will make you poorly. Other things are not food and eating it will make you poorly or not depending on what you have swallowed.

Absolutely disgusting. Bought a piece of pork for dinner but sadly it was rotten! I rang the branch, and I was taking an early plane in the morning, ( and I don’t live in Abingdon). I explained that I couldn’t return it to the branch that night. Therefore, I was advised to take some pictures and send a message online. It’s been 10 weeks now, my messages and calls were ignored!

The store has really detiorateated over the years.From lack of parking for able bodied customers to rude staff on the self checkouts. Plus the huge annoyance of lack of checkout staff.I had a 10 minute wait 4 weeks ago whilst waiting for a collection at customer service as the person deals with click and collect too.Very disappointing service

Jad excellent range of produce. Staff were helpful and pleasant. All wheelchair accessible . With accessible toilet. Nice cafe, where serve nice selection of foodstuffs, hot and cold.
