Westmead Boarding Kennels & Cattery

Just had our two cats Jinx and Gimzo stay a week at the boarding Kennels. Great location for us and good prices. Staff were all friendly and welcoming, looks a lovely environment and set up and even had the ability to put the cats into their enclosures before we left. They had plenty of room and bringing some items from home helped them settle. Great option to have the two time slots to drop off and pick up each day would use again without worry or concern. Thank you.

Been coming here since 2008’ but with different dogs now though laidi and Lola.. can’t fault them at all’ great staff and when we pick them up they are always well looked after, can’t do enough for you. Thank you

As much as we find it difficult to go away without our dogs, we always know they will be safe, cared for and loved by the staff at Westmead.

I have been sending my dog and cats here multiple times and Becci and the team are brilliant. My golden retriever loves it there & gets some great time outside.I feel satisfied that Nala has a nice time when she is there when we do go away and is in good hands!

Our dogs have recently had two stays at Westmead , and we have been impressed both by the setup there, and the approach and attitude of the new owner Becky and her friendly , efficient team.When we made our first booking,Becky took details of any issues about our dogs including food preferences, behaviour, bedding etc. One of our dogs is quite challenging and she is extremely reactive to other dogs- this didn't faze Becky and her staff, and they handled her sensitively and appropriately.Both dogs have been happy, healthy and relaxed when we have collected them, and we will be very happy for them to return to Westmead in the future.

I recently had the misfortune of entrusting my beloved pets to Westmead Boarding Kennels & Cattery at Havercroft, and I must say that it was an absolute nightmare. The primary source of my dissatisfaction was Jo, the owner of the facility, who seemed more interested in making a profit than caring for the animals in her care.First and foremost, the level of neglect I witnessed was appalling. Upon picking up my pets, I noticed that they were covered in filth and smelled strongly of urine. It was evident that they hadn't been cleaned or groomed properly throughout their stay. The kennels themselves were in a deplorable state, with dirty bedding and an overwhelming stench that made it clear they hadn't been adequately sanitized.Furthermore, Jo displayed a complete lack of professionalism and empathy. Whenever I called to check on my pets' well-being, she seemed disinterested and dismissive. It was as if my concerns were an inconvenience to her. I requested updates and photos, but she failed to provide any, leaving me in a constant state of worry and anxiety about the welfare of my beloved companions.To add insult to injury, the feeding regimen was completely disregarded. I provided explicit instructions regarding my pets' dietary needs, but it seemed that Jo couldn't be bothered to follow them. My pets were fed the wrong food, and when I addressed this issue, Jo brushed it off as a mere oversight. It is essential to ensure that animals receive the proper nutrition, and the disregard for their dietary requirements is unacceptable.Another major concern was the lack of supervision and socialization. It was clear that my pets spent most of their time confined to their kennels, without any opportunity for exercise or interaction with other animals. As a result, they exhibited signs of extreme anxiety and stress upon their return home. It is disheartening to think that they endured such a miserable experience during their stay at Westmead Boarding Kennels & Cattery.Finally, the overall condition of the facility was subpar. The premises were unkempt and poorly maintained, creating an environment that was far from suitable for animals. It was evident that hygiene standards were not a priority, and this posed a serious risk to the health and well-being of the animals in Jo's care.In conclusion, my experience with Westmead Boarding Kennels & Cattery was a complete disaster, largely due to the incompetence and indifference displayed by Jo, the owner. The neglect, lack of professionalism, and disregard for the animals' welfare were unacceptable. I strongly advise pet owners to steer clear of this establishment and seek out a more reliable and caring boarding facility for their beloved companions.

We have just returned from a two week trip from Egypt. We put are two dogs in the kennels we was a little worried because rocky had an injury to back leg, but we had on need to worry because they took good care like they always do. The flight home was cancelled which ment the dogs had to stop in the kennels two more day this was no problem they just sorted it like any top kennels would. We would like to thank all the staff at Westmead for all the care and love shown to our our dogs what a fantastic kennels Westmead is.

My dogs have been coming to Westmead for a while now and having never used a boarding kennel previously I was sceptical! Mine are boisterous big dogs who are just OTT in most things! They go in on any certain day and come out looking exactly the same way on the day I collect them. Always polite staff, always make a fuss of my dogs who are always very enthusiastic to see them. I can only say good things for this establishment who are on call to our four-legged pals 24x7
