Manchester City Council

Recently, my property suffered a fire in the back garden. Contacted council on 30/5 and requested to get the housing officer to check and see if they can replace the fences for us. The reason of the fire remains unknown. The housing officer turned up at my door at 9am yesterday morning without notice. I rang council again today (the 5th call) and get in touch with them to get the housing officer to tell me where they are up to. That person just turned up and spoke to my neighbour instead. No email or call to tell me the result of the visit. The customer service told me they will turn up without a notice as a matter of emergency. But they turned up 9 days later after the fire. How efficient they are !!!

Literally zero accountability for anything

Absolutely incapable of cleaning back alleys.I’ve been reporting the same fly-tipping to them since April. It’s now nearing the end of July. How many phone calls and emails do I have to go through to get a simple task dealt with!?

Tourists are not welcomed here and are ripped off with disproportionate fines. Officials threaten tourists.

We have been it hard with a parking ticket in a loading and off loading bay. Instead of taking a small order into the city centre with a large diesel van we opted to take a petrol car instead to help with the clear air zone within the city.As a domestic car was temp parked in a commercial space this isn’t acceptable. Copies of the invoice to the client and also signed delviery notes aren’t accepted as proof and now have 1k outstanding debt to pay. Now have bailiffs on the door removing assets, this isn’t acceptable a specially after business which have massively suffered.I have requested this to go through to the courts and been the nature of who I am dealing with this as already gone in their favour, you can not win.

Money grabbing snakes,Manchester City Council charge a £1000 a year Council tax and give us less in return. Fraud in any other name in my opinion. Greedy leeches. All the times ive dealt with Manchester City Council I've never had a positive response or experience. The only time they hurry up is when they want to screw more money out of you. In opinion Manchester City Council is not fit for purpose and I think they are totally useless.

Person I spoke to on payroll rude and not very informative or helpful why have people like this working for public services !

They like to discriminates against disabled people.Insist on using the system which is hard to navigate around no one to contact no one to be able to discuss issues with. Out to make money for themselves

Wheres the justice!Parking service is rubbishHad the worst time of this year! Making me pay triple the amount iv been charged. Threatened me with bayleafe enforcement team when there was no need. I never ignored to be treated this way! Iv allways been in touch about it but you still used bayleafe when I never said I wouldn't pay! This was not fair.

*** COVID-19 ***Absolutely disgusted with the stance of this council. They have decided to uphold a 4AM ‘Bus Gate’ PCN (that I was lead to due to a road closure), despite being informed that I had to drive from outside of Manchester to deliver essential items to my already pourly grandmother. She has had to shield for months now and we were merely only following govt. guidance.During times like these, they should be supporting the public rather than penalising us and conniving, making money from our crises...Thieves!
