Whin Park
We used this as a family meet up point. The park is great for all ages but especially for kids. There is a superb play park, boating pond. My great nephew had an absolutely brilliant time in the play park and it is very well kitted out. We also rode the narrow guage train and I don't know who enjoyed it more, me or the kid! It really was superb. We had a picnic on one of the many picnic tables and also had a walk around the park. It's a bit out of way but using a sat nav in an unknown area took us straight to it. Definitely recommend.

Whin Park can provide an inexpensive day out for the kids. There is a large park and a secondary park for older kids slightly further down. The park itself is spread out and has some seating. The park is suitable for a range of different ages.Disabled access and parking both available.Sometimes the ducks can be seen in the pond. There are toilets just before you enter the park.During the day there is a small shop that sells sweets drinks and ice-cream, a pond with row boats and a mini train that goes around a track. (Adults can ride the mini train alongside their kids).Dogs are not allowed in the park but there is woods around where they can get a good walk.Across from the park not too far there is a skate park also.

Really cute little park. Excellent spot for families with little kids! The installations could use some work, but they’re still fun for children with an active imagination!

Whin Park is a great park, It did cost a fair bit for being a park as we chose to go on the train (which I believe does go to charity!) and we went to the tuck shop for ice cream. The park itself is lovely, the train ride is a nice experience. We didn't go on the boats this time but it's great to have that opportunity as not many parks have boats! It's a shame they took away the old metal slide (you know the one!) The kids flock there still but its a bit rubbish the climbing net instead. Kids love the gym equipment the most. Otherwise a great day out!

Whin Park
With great walks along the Ness Islands adjacent to this park, there is plenty to do. The miniature railway is well set up, and there are a wide variety of children's play equipment. There is a small store with cheap snacks too. The park equipment is a bit dated in places but it's tidy
