I visited on a Tuesday at 16:40. I was hesitant based on some reviews and ratings, but I wanted an easy in and out place by the river. I was seated with a River view. I ordered a lamb chop with chips. The food was delivered at 16:49, so the service was fast.The lamb chops had a good flavor but were mainly fat. There was very little meat. The chips were average. The price seemed high for the quality.

Very poor food. Calamari was completely tasteless. The Prawn pasta was almost inedible.. Uk gave I 1 star, because I couldn’t give it a Zero.

Never been to a more vile place in whole of UK. The waiters were absolutely disgusting. They behaved rudely with people. Didn't know name of dishes. Didn't know difference of red and rose wine. Were rude as hell. Food was bland. Worst mistake going into it. Little tip to the owners: Train your damn staff and hire actual hospitality people and not put your whole family on the service line who have no business waiting tables.

Got turned down at two other restaurants because we didn’t have a reservation. River Grill took us in without any wait. The wait staff was helpful and the prices were fair. I had chicken pasta and it was good. My wife had spaghetti and she said it was delicious. It was a nice dinner.

It's not often that I leave a bad review however unfortunately this is one of my first. Stopped to grab a coffee and have a walk along the River Ness and I thought I would support a local business. Staff were not very friendly. Coffee / latte was overpriced £4.95 for a Latte ???I asked them several times if this was correct. Yes it was. Coming from London even this was expensive. Coffee was not even that good. And this was for a takeaway coffee. I would not recommend a visit unless you want to pay for over priced drinks and food and have a bad level of service. Unfortunately this is a thumbs down for me and I would not recommend a visit.

Me and my family were greeted by polite staff. After ordering food came quite soon, but unfortunately we were quite dissapointed. My child quite enjoyed tuna pizza but chicken nuggets weren't good at all. Sadly the pasta with prawns wasn't good either. Place has potential and I'm sure they could offer some good food but sadly it was dissapointing experience for us, and not cheap either.

We had to choose between Zizzi and River Grill. From the outside the grill looked good and there was a tasty smell in the air. From the inside it is not very clean. The tables and chairs were dirty and doesnt looked very nice. We ordered burger and spanish meatballs, both were really bad for the price of 14.95 burger and 7.95 meatballs. The burger were just frozen patties and a regular cheap burger bun, really disappointing!!!! This was the worst Restaurant" i have visited so far. Dont know how they can survive there with such bad food!! P.S. should have been already sceptical when saw the whipped cream and a really dry and old cheese cake in the showcase...who is putting such a low cost ingridients in the showcase xD. We didnt finished our food. Also the waiters seems to be very bored and didnt even ask if anything is okay or sth like that.......Dont trust the 5star revisions! Very sad to write a comment like this but i cant find anything good..."

I agree with the poor quality of food. Grilled sea bass. (£23) was not grilled at all and smelled bit fishy. The pizza was mediocre. As nice/friendly as the boss is, I'm sorry the food is absolutely not worth the expensive prices....

I expected so much more, but was sadly disappointed. One star is the lowest I can rate. The food was underwhelming and the service, apart from one amazing waitress who tried her absolute best, was less than average.Very expensive for the size of the serve and extremely disorganised, and from watching the other tables that left entire meals behind, I’m guessing we weren’t alone in our assessment.Won’t make this mistake again.

Well well well... soup was heinz..NO JOKEFood was really bad and RAW see photo then he said paying full price barely ate it!! any good reviews must be friends need shut down not fair on inverness
