What a great team, the young waiting staff were some of the best I have ever met, the manager a great guy, the pub dog, outstanding. The food, oh the food, so good we went back for a second taste the day after. I can highly recommend the Sunday lunch, opt for the two meat option, even if you only want the same meats. Veg is abundant and all fresh.

Probably the best Sunday roast dinners ever. Was reluctant to post the pic's as I'm not sure they do the food the justice it deserves. It's so rare to have a complete foodie experience..any element wldve deserved 4 or 5 stars on it's own ..from the welcoming, prompt but calm ordering of drinks before you're seated, easy atmosphere bordering on family n friends,, staff just absolutely spot on..and that's before mentioning the fare...which was 10/10. ( I don't do 11's or 12's ). Unfortunately I live 100's of miles away ...portions are unhealthy grand. Huge thanks to the chef, front of house and the exceptional staff ( tirelessly worked with smiles aplenty). You're a joy to what you do and what you've achieved...

Beautiful restaurant and great staff, i visited with my partner, his family with our young baby and the staff were very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable in the heat with our baby. The food was delicious, i had the 3 meat roast, the crackling and stuffing was perfection. Good selection of vegetables, and all round a lovely meal, the young lad serving our food was brilliant, as me and my partner love our vegetables and gravy and was quick to get us more with our condiments. Not to mention the deserts, oh my! The best bannoffe dessert I've ever had. The bannoffe pot was my favourite part, a biscuit base served with lavishings of toffee sauce and bananas, i swapped whipped cream for biscoff ice cream, it had little fudge pieces, a waffer and a fresh strawberry. Will definitely be coming back.

Earlier this week we had lunch (Monday) and dinner (Tuesday) at the Exeter Inn. The location is what you expect of and English pub/inn. The menu, I think, is worth coming back for. The dishes we had were all well prepared and there is a lot more to choose from.The staff were all friendly, we felt very welcome.When here, pay good attention to all the details of the building, both inside and out.

A really good way to spend Thanksgiving.Staff was attentive.Vegetarian gravy lush.Three carnivores three vegetarians, we were all satisfied.Starters and Puds equally good.Quaint and quirky English pub.Can not comment on the real ale as no one imbibed tonight.North Devon's CAMRA pub of the year.Pinot Grigio was lovely and complimented my vegetarian wellington perfectly.The seven year old was entertained with books, colouring and games.Unfortunately Frankie the Pub Dog was absent but from her photo and staff comments she's an asset to be met.Look forward to returning.

Sunday Roast was the best I've ever had out, had the 3 meats and all were delicious. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Stayed for the quiz too, which was alot of fun. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely dining experience.

It's just absolutely top-notch! Great menu of interesting dishes and so well cooked. Service was warm and so professional with prices far cheaper than we expected for such quality.
