since posting the para below, i have spoken to Dalby, and i now appreciate that oak is not really suitable for a small/medium sized wood burner in a domestic environment. I do feel that Dalby should highlight this more prominently on their website as there are lots of first time users of wood burners these days. that said delivery and service is excellent.having endured 3 months of a smoked filled living room as i tried to either light or keep lit in my wood burner logs from an oak crate, i certainly will not be using them again. had previous gold crate logs from Dalby but this oak batch has been very poor both in trying to get them to burn and the way they have been cut.

Very fast service, next day deliver of 50 bags of the pizza oven wood. Superb quality: very nice sized pieces for the pizza oven, cut much thinner than any other supplier I have used before, very dry and burning really well. Will certainly use this company again.

Consistently Excellent Service and ProductsHighly recommend this company - they deliver an excellent product to my home which isn't the easiest place to reach and is down a narrow road. Their driver drops off the wood exactly where I need it. Can't recommend them highly enough. Brilliant example of good old fashioned value and customer service. Wouldn't buy from any other company.

Used this company a number of times now. Brilliant customer service - last time a small error with the delivery was rectified the same day with apologies and courtesy, and additional product over and above the shortfall. Great products, good price and easy to deal with.

Communication was excellent, opted for the faster delivery - when it woudn't matter whether were we present for delivery. Unfortunately, on the day they delivered there was an absolute downpour, and I was expecting the logs to be soaked. However, the delivery drivers had placed the bag in a convinient spot on the drive, partially sheltered from the rain, as well as using an extra dumpy bag to cover and protect the wood, keeping it nice and dry.

This is the first time I have purchased from Dalby. I chose the Kiln dried hornbeam and am really pleased with it. Easy to light and burns very slowly with a lovely flame. Quick delivery. Will definitely purchase again.

Let me down. After years of good service, my delivery was not only rescheduled once but twice (with no notice, waiting indoors for both days). They did not seem particularly bothered, and indeed I had to ask for compensation (suggested in the form of a discount) which has failed to materialise, despite asking. Won't be using again, very disappointed.

No longer any customer care. I used them for 12 years, the past 2 have been awful. Log truck just shows up. No schedule No phone call. I asked and confirmed 3 times that I would have a call the night before. Showed up at 8:30 No warning. I was getting ready for a appt. The Girl on the phone pays no attention. Making an order takes loads of repeating information. I feel bad for Joe. His kids are ruining the business. Actively looking for a new supplier
