Lovely setting. Friendly servers. Great selection of cakes. All let down entirely by the rude the dismissive front of house host/greeter.We joined a queue for what was obviously a fairly busy Tuesday afternoon and moments later the host came out and placed a sign directly in front of our group of 6 (plus a child) and told us “there’s a 45 min wait for food”. We politely told her that it was okay, and we were just looking for some coffee and cakes. She explained they were full and encouraged us go and get takeaway coffees around the corner and go and sit over by the farm shop.We could see plenty of empty tables but we believed her and walked over to where the takeaway coffees were being sold (in the pouring rain) - from there we saw that the conservatory area was about 90% empty.We walked back around, by which time she had seated everyone in the queue that was ahead of us and everyone who was behind us at the time.I explained that we had seen the empty seating in the conservatory and asked if we could be seated there where a few other guests had been seated. She replied that there wasn't enough staff to host us and that the people already seated there were seated under various special circumstances. I emphasised that we were only looking to get out of the rain for coffee and cakes for half an hour, to which she replied If I could seat you in there but it wont be for a while and its unlikely that we'll be able to come and take your order for a while".At this point i was starting to feel like we were being singled out and i decided to call her bluff and told her we were happy to wait wait. She trotted off and came back 5 mins later to tell us we could make our way in.From that point

Came for breakfast. Little bit of a queue to get in. Clearly busy and enjoyed by many. Good selection of food and delicious cooked breakfast and coffee.

Lovely setting, brilliant menu, lovely front of house staff. Only thing was my food was cold so asked for it to be warmed up, chef looked proper annoyed and redid the whole thing and it was still cold, I wasnt saying anything again. Would still ho back, just wouldn't order the eggs Benedict again.

Just what you need to start the day. We go for breakfast regularly. It's bright and airy friendly and warm. Great dining area bar and kitchen set up. Staff are friendly and efficient the food is sublime and very well priced. Highly reccomend. Especially for a high class service and relaxed atmosphere. Superb

I found this place whilst looking at other Google reviews and so glad we did. We were greeted by a lady who seated us, and our drink and food orders were taken quickly. Food arrived around 20 mins later as it is cooked fresh, still great service. Prices are also good, and you definitely get the quality you pay for. Lovely place to have breakfast.

Went for a large family breakfast on a busy Monday late breakfast, the waitress sue was delightful; nothing was too much and she was caring, compassionate and knowledgeable about the drinks/food. Food was to a high quality and came out quickly considering the amount of tables occupied; the coffee was perfect and full of flavour; however, the young girl on the door could have greeted us better, with a “hello” or “good morning”.
