The team at Summerleaze are absolutely incredible. If it weren't for them, their compassion and their quick thinking my darling boy wouldn't be here. After being in a hit in run my boy Cosmo was in horrific conditions, we weren't sure he'd even male it through the night, but the team here got him into surgery the next day then home with me the following day. Unfortunately he lost his leg but the care he received makes him try running in whenever we get there, I had constant updates about Cosmo including what he had eaten and how many cuddles he was having! This team saved my dogs life, no doubt about it.Absolutely amazing can't recommend them enough.

A few years ago we came in to the emergency vets with our cat, the staff were so helpful. They did their best to help. When we came back in the morning, the day staff were really caring and sympathetic when our only option was to say goodbye to our beloved cat. The way they looked after her and showed how much they care, being friendly and understanding, we were absolutely blown away. Within 24 hours, they had gained our complete trust and respect, it was clear they cared about the animals and were very knowledgeable. That was 4 years ago and they have now been our vets to my mum's 2 cats and my cat since. We would not change to another vet again. Even with myself living nearly an hour away, I only feel comfortable taking my cat to Summerleaze. Thank you to everyone who works there, you are amazing!

Each time we've been they have been very helpful and looked after us. They have separate waiting areas for each type of pet to reduce stress. The vets care about the animals they treat.

Excellent service, bearing in mind went out of hours, so you're going to pay a premium, but still cheaper than others in the vicinity, some whome were just literally milking it!!

It was a busy bank holiday weekend with the phones ringing off the hook. We were warmly welcomed and out fur baby well taken care of after an encounter with an Alsatian in the park. The doc was empathetic and super gentle. Highly recommend, great experience.

Very good vets for daily appointments and emergency appointments. They show great care and do the best they can for every animal. The reason for 4 stars is that they can be very expensive.

My cat fell ill soon after we moved to the area so I took him to Summerleaze. Unfortunately the vets never found out exactly what made him so unwell despite some very expensive diagnostics. My cat's condition got progressively worse and he died. To be fair the vets we had seen seemed nice and understanding. They tried their best to help but there was a limitation to what they could. However, every touch point with their reception was an unpleasant experience. They really made a difficult time even worse for me, particularly the peopel answering their phone. Trying to make an appointment was such a pain everytime. For example, on one occasions after they asked for a lot of detailed questions about the sick patient's symptons and condidtion they simply said they did not have access to their booking system and I'd need to wait for someone else to call me back. On at least 2 occasions after a long wait and going through all the deatils again I was told to call back the next day exactly at 8am even though I was only requesting any available appointment in the next week. On one occasion after an ultrasound scan I was told by the vet to leave the a message for a call back when I was ready to discuss the next steps. When I called the message was never passed on to the vet and hence there was no call back. I had no choice but to make an appointment to discuss in person with the vet and of course had to pay for it.The worst came after my cat died. I had left him with the vet to be sent away for cremation. I was told that someone from the reception would call me when the ashes were ready for collection. Again no one ever called! My cat's ashes had been in their storage for nearly two weeks when I rang up the cremation service and found out that they had already been delivered to Summerleaze reception. All in all I felt that they were inefficient and lacked compassion.

Before I start I had called vets for pets as they were I bought my hamster from and they unfortunately, couldn't help me without a payment. My hamster was in a severely bad way. And I was really worried and in a big state before the receptionist at summerleaze was able to calm me and help me get an appointment. My poor little boy had Cancerous tumours through his body so needed to be put down. Thank the heavens for summerleaze because otherwise he would of been suffering until payday if it was up to vets for pets. We were able to sort out a payment plan to help him then and there. The vet was very compassionate and helpful the while experience as a whole was traumatic the staff eased this feeling by helping to their full abilities. I highly recommend!
