Very nice coffee place for breakfast and lunch as they close with all the shops at four pm.Really fresh food, all very nice and served with love.Really good portions and better prices.

I love this little cafe. We ate breakfast here everyday during our stay in newcastle. It was all very delicious. Even though I did not expect to like the black pudding. The staff was very friendly and the table clean.

Great food, great service, great little gem inside the Grainger Market, and the option to change a item. I had a traditional breakfast, and I don't like tomatoes and black pudding, so it was replaced with extra mushrooms and beans, not many places offer that, so I'm very happy.

Visited today for breakfast with friends. I just basically googled it and on initial browsing, had a mix of different reviews. Decided to try it anyway - great experience!The food was lovely, served in big portions, and the pricing was reasonable. Wanted to have a no frills english breakfast and they absolutely delivered!I opted to not have the black pudding (because I've never been a fan). However, my husbanf and my friend said it tasted really good compared to the ones they've tried before.The space was sufficient and homey. Staff were friendly and quite accommodating - we were a little bit noisy, but being that it's situated inside the market, there weren't any judgy eyes looking at us.Great place for breakfast and coffee. Highly recommended!

1st time I have been and certainly will not be the last. I only had a scone and tea, scone delicious and pot of tea with good sized jug of milk and pot of hot water. Got 3 cups out of it as I people watched. The staff were attentative and I enjoyed the rapour they had with their elderly customers. It is obvious that other customers were regulars there and I do not blame them. Really nice experience. Thanks a lot to all staff. See you soon. X

I haven't been at this place for a long time, ladies were friendly but at 15.00 they had no variety in scones, no creme,butter was definitely from someone else's plate or it had been on the floor as it had either pepper or dust inside the golden foil, jam was the cheapest kind ever and actual fruit scone they served us was so outdated it wasn't edible. The latte I ordered was bitter really cheap coffee taste . On top of all that the staff were cleaning the floor next to us locked the place and left at 15.45 telling us it was ok to stay for as long as we wanted totally unprofessional. Not coming back any time soon or recommend this place.

We had a lovely hot mug of tea each with a date slice and apple slice.Very fresh and tasty- home baked- really good.Will have lunch next time we’re in Newcastle for the day !

Oliver's has been a favourite for a number of years. Good food, reasonably priced and friendly service, until today.... Being busy is no excuse to be sharp with customers. Time to look elsewhere.
