Swallows Field Glamping Pods

The pod was beautiful the garden area was lovely and the dogs loved the freedom. We stayed for Christmas and also had the extra of a hot tub it was just perfect and would recommend it to anyone everything you need is there to be able to cook the owners are very friendly and welcoming

Beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Liz and John are very welcoming . The pods are fantastic. Clean, warm and well equip with everything you need. Secure own garden which is well kept and overlooking a field. The added extra's they have in place are a real bonus. Will definitely be returning for another stay. Highly recommend if your looking for a quiet get away.

I can’t recommend Swallows Field Glamping enough. The Pod was so much more than we expected, from the comfy bed, quality fittings - lovely en-suite with sparkly splashback!, literally everything has been thought of. We stayed in Poppy pod, with our dog who just equally had the best time, Liz who clearly loves dogs has done everything for anyone who is bringing a dog, from the dog treats on arrival to the (much used by us) dog shower (dog towels and shampoo provided too). Next to the dog shower is another hut that holds the microwave, iron, ironing board, heated airer plus laminated walking maps, guides, takeaway menus, books and DVDs to borrow, there’s even electric bikes too!! We took up the option of the hot tub siting in this, watching the stars and the outdoor twinkly lights round the pod and the garden was just glorious. Definitely do that again. We stayed pretty local over the weekend, great walks so took advantage of The Cricketers pub for dinner and breakfast after our ventures, staff really friendly and loved dogs too, perfect. Highly recommend the Fish & Chip shop in the villlage (although a bit pricy - but food was very good). We did venture out to East Mersea, great nature reserve right next to the sea and topped it off with a fabulous Sunday roast at the Peldon Rose on our way back to the pod. All in all, we had a wonderful weekend away and can’t wait to go back!

Swallows Field Glamping Pod was the most wondering dog-friendly getaway I've experienced. We escaped from the city for a little rest and relaxation and we definitely found it here. We were met by the wonderful Liz who gave us a quick and easy tour of our immaculate pod and told us all about the local walks, pubs, and amenities. The pods are so spacious with very clever design and the garden was well secured for our 3 dogs. The amenities (hot tub, fire pit, BBQ) and the simple thoughtful touches (dog treats, dog towels, DVDs) really made our stay just perfect. And the swooping Swallows all throughout the day added a little bit of magic. Can't wait to get back - 2 nights was not enough! Thank you Liz for the wonderful stay!

If you are reading this and pondering on whether to book - just do it! These beautifully constructed Pods are so stunning and the interior design is fantastic - everything has been thought out so carefully and the attention to detail is amazing - from the welcome doggy treat basket, fire box, vegetable patch and information cabin to the guided walks and dog shower for muddy paws!! Liz and John, the friendly owners, have put their heart and soul into this place and their personal touch is what makes these Pods so special. Our dog enjoyed it as much as we did and we will be back!

We LOVED staying at Swallows Field Glamping for our short break away. We had everything we needed in the pod plus more & Liz went the extra mile making sure everything was perfect! Defiantly recommend to everyone we know and I'm sure we will be retuning very soon.Thank you for having us xx

I haven't stayed in the pods but I saw them being built and had a good look around. Set in beautiful countryside. Each pod has its own fenced private garden which means your dog can safely sit outside. Pods are finished to a high standard. I would love to book a holiday there but I live a 2 minute walk away.

I honestly couldn't rave highly enough about this place. Went with 2 other couples for a get away / anniversary / birthday combined, that was easy to get to from London, but in nature. And this was just absolutely perfect!!The host: Liz was absolutely wonderful - her communication was always prompt and filled with helpful answers. She went out her way to accommodate all our requests - arrival times, leaving times, etc. She was always friendly and available for everything! It made organising the trip a treat opposed to a chore to deal with Liz :)The accommodation: Was honestly perfect! We've done several glamping trips now, so know what we hope for, and this, had it all! The functional details especially were not missed. The pods were super spacious - felt like being in an apartment. There was everything we needed; a comfy bed, bed night lights, great shower, heated towel rack (perfect for when you get out the hot tub), towelling robes, all cooking utensils, black out blinds, porch lights, deck chairs, extendable dining table, milk in the fridge, sensory lights outside the pods to see our way at night, fire pits, wood available (via an honesty box, nice touch), an allotment to pick fresh veg from, walking guide booklet, how the pod was created booklet, parking space (but round the back so you get to overlook a field from your pod, not the parked car), and ample space to hang out in front of your pod.I can't say anything that we would have wanted better (except more sunshine :)) - it was all thought of! And an even bigger bonus to know John, Liz's partner, built the pods - they were truly made with love and in immaculate condition. Definitely hope to return!
