Rainbow House Childcare

I am so surprised there are negative reviews about Rainbow House. Based on my experience I never had any and also has praise for all the staff. It was the best for my 1st child who has special needs, and is still the right and best setting for my 2nd child.Jo always has something in place everyday for the children. She and all the staff help prepare each child for school, independence and basically everything that there is to learn. And this is want all parents want.So for parents who are looking for a childminder, Rainbow House Childcare is surely one to consider. And in my case, I chose it and never regret it.

I couldn't imagine a better place for my son and I am so grateful to Joanna and her team of wonderful, kind carers. My son joined Rainbow House at 11 months old at a time when he only wanted to be with his mum and dad. We did a gradual settling in and thanks to JoJos's patience and through various engaging activities and a lot of one to one time they built trust and a great relationship with him. My son loves going to Rainbow House and talks about Jojo and his friends constantly! They do perform miracles - he eats his lunch even on days when he eats nothing at home. At nap time he goes to sleep on his own (since his first full day) even though he has never done this at home once! After two months his vocabulary exploded with words and phrases. They are constantly doing fun activities- playing in the garden, messy play, arts and crafts - each week has a different theme. I would highly recommend Rainbow House, they have exceeded all my expectations. It's a truly magical, happy place!

My son has been attending Rainbow House for just over two years now and I am so happy that I found it - as soon as I first looked around, I knew I wanted to sign him up straight away. Jo and the rest of the Rainbow House team are so welcoming and friendly, and it’s the perfect home from home setting. My son joined when he was almost a year old and interacting with children of different ages has been a massive advantage to his development - it has helped with his social, numeracy and literacy skills and he is now reading books that are aimed at children a couple of years older than he is. Jo is so dedicated to helping the children learn and every week they have a topic with related activities at the setting – some of these are current events such as Children In Need/Black History Month/Roald Dahl day, and others include learning about Space/Family/Road Safety. There are also fun themed days for the children to enjoy including fancy dress days and parties. In addition, Jo shares learning materials to help and encourage the children at home, and regularly shares updates and pictures of what they’ve been up to throughout the day. The individual care my son receives really is outstanding and he always enjoys telling me everything he’s been up to. I highly recommend Rainbow House – they have set the bar high and none of the other settings I visited come close.

Jo and the staff at Rainbow House looked after my daughter from the age of 7 months. I had complete peace of mind each day she spent there, partly because of the detailed feedback provided by Jo, and partly because of the smiles on my daughter’s face when I dropped her off and picked her up!Jo ensures that the children in her care have a range of activities to challenge and stimulate them throughout the day, and with the help of her lovely Mum, Esther, they are able to provide high-quality home cooked food.I would not hesitate to recommend Rainbow House.

Rainbow House is wonderful and we wish we'd known about it for our older children. JoJo and her team are kind and calm and have created a wonderful environment. I never felt anxious sending my child there and she's had an absolute blast. We will miss it so much.

Rainbow House provides phenomenal childcare for young children and Jo, the owner, is a fantastic practitioner.After having a baby during the height of COVID and us spending practically 24/7 together, I was worried about leaving him to return to work. Jo expertly and kindly guided my husband and I through the process and took time and care to get to know our little boy and to help him feel settled. After nearly 2 years, he is still running in with a huge smile on his face and has made some lovely friends, too!Jo has helped our little boy to progress exponentially in the key areas of the Early Years curriculum and made potty training an absolute breeze for us. The children cover a range of topics and our little boy is always delighted and proud to bring home the lovely little things he has made.We can't recommend Jo and Rainbow House, enough. Thank you to Jo and all of her team for an amazing experience ♥

Really lucky that we found Rainbow house childcare and they had space to let our daughter in. My daughter didn’t care well at the previous nursery, so we planned to change. Then my husband found Rainbow house on the childcare website. Really thankful Joanna and her team patiently look after her, so she used to this new environment in a short time.Can feel that Jo really like children not just take this as a job, this is important to us. Also, you can have a good communication with Jo, this is very important to us. We know what she did today, how’s her eating and nappy.My daughter had a great time and really enjoyed going to rainbow house. There’s different topic each week and has different fun activities each day. She has a big improvement during the time, such as knowing abc, nursery rhymes and a lot more.Glad we met Jo in our hard time, and she tried her best to help us. Really recommend Rainbow House childcare.

Our daughter really enjoyed her time at Rainbow House - the activities and learning always looked like lots of fun and she came away very happy from each day. She didn't really have much in the way of social skills before she started there, but is much more outgoing now. We felt very comfortable leaving her with the staff at a Rainbow House and would definitely recommend it as a thoughtful and caring nursery.

Jo and her staff at Rainbow House looked after my son from the age of 7months and have been absolutely outstanding. Their knowledge and understanding of how to support and stimulate young children is phenomenal. I had peace of mind leaving him there everyday knowing he was well looked after and I would receive feedback daily to show me his progress and how much fun he was having throughout the day. With the help of her amazing mum Esther, they were able to provide nutritious and well balanced meals throughout the day. I would highly recommend.

We cannot recommend Joanna and Rainbow House enough! She is an excellent childminder. My son was at Rainbow House from about 11 months to 3.5 years. He thrived in the small, home-like environment, with kind, attentive and truly caring adults. It feels like a big family! What is also nice is that her setting is clean, organized and characterful in a modern house with a small rear garden and access to a landscaped courtyard.Joanna puts her heart and soul into the kids and their activities, and develops fantastic programmes and crafts each week to celebrate special days and special people. He always came home with fabulous creations that he was so proud of having done. As he grew, Joanna and her team supported us through walking and potty training. They taught him letters and sounds, and he learned to write his name. They also worked on numeracy and how to count, all great preparation for his next steps. Joanna is a great carer and educator.A recent addition to their regular circle time was a sharing moment, which my son loved - he was able to talk about what he did at the weekend, all the while learning how to express himself, talk about the past and his interests, and listen to others.We really appreciated his yearly written assessments that Joanna produced. They gave us a great overview of his development and mapped out next steps.His big sister has also spent some days at Rainbow House, and enjoyed the calm atmosphere and activities.Thank you Joanna and Rainbow House for taking such good care of our children!
