An amazing family walk from Bridgetown, Totnes along the river to the cider press. Great place to sit and picnic or buy food and drinks. Lovely arts, crafts and gift shopping, including fancy food presents. Great band playing.

Lots of interesting arts and crafts type things to look at and buy. Nicely set out. Tasty food on sale and a bustling café. I enjoyed my visit here.

What has happened to this place? I used to stop here regularly, the Cranks restaurant was a joy and jewel in their crown, no more. But it is not just the food that seems to have changed. There is no cohesion. Where once you could shop with choice and quality, now there was little of interest in the main building to tempt me. Outside the independent art shop was excellent with enthusiastic friendly staff. Plenty of exciting stock a feeling of progress, certainly worth visiting and some great presents for Christmas. It's just a bit sad that the rest of the buildings are so ...unimaginative.

Wow! This place has certainly gone downhill since I last came to visit six years ago. The place I used to love and visit since being a child has lost its magic. The shops that were once sprawling and busy are now condensed and deserted. The entire estate is now cashless, so my children who were looking forward to visiting the toy shop could not spend any of their money. Instead, we went to nearby Buckfast Abbey where they were very accommodating. It's such a shame that Dartington Cider Press has lost its appeal, and I very much doubt I'll be back.

Interesting mix of “outlets”, partner particularly liked the Dartington Glass. Good cafe. Pity the car park is away up the hill and site is quite spread out but if you don’t mind walking it’s ok. All in all worth a visit.

There are several businesses at this Dartington, each a nice visit. All are wheelchair accessible. There is plentiful parking available, but I'd hazard a guess that at times they could get crowded. I definitely recommend the deli.

Great location for buying original arts, crafts, kitchenware and delicatessen. The cafe / restaurant has an excellent selection of food, or just drop in for cake and coffee. Good parking.

If you are looking to relax just outside of Totnes away from the crowds, then this might be the place to go. I got confused with the name as I thought it had something to do with cider making - my bad as the only thing here that relates to cider making is the cider press at the back of the car park. The shops are full of decor items, gifts and art and the restaurant/cafe. I bought a coffee which was only average and then played a game of chess outside on the big chessboard. Wheelchair friendly but watch out around school pick up time as all the parents take all the car spots. If you're a coffee demon then you'll need to hit the High street in Totnes to get that perfect brew.

I last visited in 2007 and it has changed somewhat. It is not quite as exclusive as before and there are now individually crafted items at more accessible prices, although it still remains high quality overall. There are locally grown foods aplenty and an excellent selection of Dartington Crystal (handmade vases, wine glasses etc.) as well as numerous thoughtfully curated gifts. The car chargers were readily available.

The Cider Press Centre has more to it than you first imagine. Apart from the usual refreshments - teas, coffees, ices - there is an excellent food shop selling all manner of tempting items, including local cheeses. Other spaces are devoted to books, pottery, glass, lovely bags and home items. All this is situated by a small river which you can walk along and just admire nature. We saw colourful Damsel flies, coots and a heron. A pleasant place to browse and wander for an hour or so. Close to Dartington Hall. Also, short free-stay parking.
