Very disappointed with the service (or lack of it)No communication after payment. I had to contact them (after waiting infor most of the week!) to find out when I'd get my order!Not happy at all.I've had to open a PayPal case so my money is tied up.I'm over £100 out of pocket.I've asked them for a refund but they haven't responded and I doubt they will.Stick to running a shop and don't bother doing business online if you can't treat your paying online customers with respect.Bad form.

Purchased online x5 super red koi angelfish and a few plants and snails - the fish delivered were not as described on the Fin Room website - the plants were in poor condition - the snails were deducted from my bill as no longer available.I was told by The Fin Room that the picture on website was for illustration only and that my fish will colour over time and that plants will grow back. Not a novice to the hobby so knew straight away I purchased poor quality fish and plants as soon as I received them.I was given a refund on two plants and was advised to send back the fish! Date to collect fish was arranged but no courier turned up. I ended up giving the fish to my local LFS. I was given a store credit of £20 (bearing in mind fish cost £60) that I tried to use on dried food but order was cancelled as item not available. Credit also can only be used on one item and postage cost in extra.Overall very poor service, poor quality fish and plants, would not recommend!

Ordered an aquarium & cabinet combo via Fin Room website. Item shown as in stock. Paid via Paypal. Happy to support an independent company. Received acknowledgement email then nothing for 4 days. Phoned 3 times and emailed, to be told it was no longer in stock nor being produced. Was promised a refund 'now'. However had to raise issue with Paypal and email again before refund received. Overall this would have been avoided if the website had been up to date, and not advertised an item which was not available.

I ordered some tropical pets and when they arrived they were freezing cold and half of my order didn’t survive. When I contacted the fin room I was asked for pictures that I supplied.I was then ignored. I tried to contact them on three different emails (shipping, customer support and Danielle) all had spoken to me previously and I was ignored on all.Not only do I find this unprofessional but extremely rude. No resolve was reached or any explanation offered.

Went today, walked in no one to be seen, went into the fish room and one man in there who worked there, never said hello or how can I help, my partner went into the reptile room to ask for some service, he was waiting ages as two men were chatting away like he wasn’t there. Asked one for help and he went and got a girl, who then went and got someone else. Tried showing him the deal they had on the website but my 4g wasn’t working. He was huffing and puffing and so I asked him if they could look on their website. He stomped off and felt really put out. Lack of customer service was terrible and never been anywhere and felt like that. We walked out, to be honest it was dirty in there and very uncomfortable. Never again
