Scott met us with the warmest welcome you could imagine and was so incredibly friendly, helpful and immediately found the carpets we were looking for. The quality of the runners we bought is superior to others we’d seen elsewhere and the price was surprisingly low. I’d highly recommend Tapi Carpets in Charlton, if only to meet the lovely Scott. Give that man a bonus!

Scott from the Charlton store in London was very friendly and professional. We selected an award winning carpet and laminate for an installation in Chelmsford, Essex and he helped us with the initial quote and placing an order. The laminate was installed first and I explained to Tapi installers (over the phone) how I want to have the direction of the laminate in all three bedrooms. We had another contractor on site who was checking Tapi's work from time to time as we were not able to be in the house on the day of installation. Everything was fine until our contractor noticed that Tapi team laid the laminate in the Master bedroom in the wrong direction. They were already half way through the room and he told them to stop but they did not.I tried to explain and had an argument over the phone with the Tapi installer as he clearly did not follow the agreed instructions. They finished the room in the wrong direction and it was agreed that we can sort things out with their Directors. We called both, the Chelmsford director and Scott, explained the situation and they arranged another appointment for the installers to come and fix the issue free of charge. The final result is as we expected but this misunderstanding was a but stressful, especially that this was our Master bedroom which they left for last. The other two bedrooms were laid correctly. In terms of the carpet we have in our staircase and landing / corridors, we are extremely happy with our choice and with the Tapi installation, although, I noticed small pieces coming out from two of the edges after living in the house for a month. Overall, it is perfect and the carpet itself is super soft and luxurious (keep in mind it was form the pricey ones, it's called Victoria)My overall feedback is 5 stars as our first impression from the service in the store was very positive and the products we selected are great quality. Tapi also resolved our issue quickly and efficiently without additional charges. A few images below to show the installation process and final results. The wrong direction of laminate is the one perpendicular to the door thresghold which makes the room looking very small and weird. The correct direction is parallel to the door threshold which makes the room larger visually.

Let me bullet point thus far what has happened and zero communication that is satisfactory from store manager Craig and neither regional manager.(don't buy from this company if you want expensive wood flooring the fitters are not experienced enough, sole traders dont care about the installation and Tapi do not care about you!)1: Surveyor came out measured hall passage utilities room and dinning room2: Ordered premium/Parque flooring. excess of £4,0003: Fitters arrived, informing me the flooring could not be fitted in utilities room and passage (product too high fire door cannot be cut) (TAPI Survivors fault)They also refused to remove old flooring, installed this on top of present flooring and installed the expensive Parque flooring in a poor state. Stating It looks good

Really bad service, the fitter came into my property and carried out the job while speak to his gf on the phone. He cut and damaged the floor in my property and offered me £50 as a compensation which does not cover the cost of fixing it.The carpet has not been fitted properly and can be removed just by pulling it with some tape. The customer service did not help me at all and just closed the call.I have tried several times to call the head office but NO ONE answered my callsWaste of time.

Make sure you read the small prints. It was not made clear to us that the price did not include fitting when we paid. Fitting had to be paid to the fitters who are external. Very easy to mistake the line item “Fitting Arrangement Service” for the fitting cost and overlook the fitting cost in the invoice you get. It was a unpleasant surprise when we were asked for payment when fitting was done.At a glance, I thought they were cheaper than Carpetright. I now regret not getting more quotes. In total, we spent 2480 + 360 for fitting. The carpet itself was 1500.

Bad experience in overall. Beckton branch not recommended.Everything went well during initial quotation in my flat and placing an order afterwards, much worse with the fitting itself.Bars cut too short, missing pieces added to fill the gap! Floor with damages in multiple areas. Glue left on planks when gluing the bars to the floor, unable to remove it. Door bar fitted in totally unacceptable way. Trimming not done properly, and many others - in general total lack of esthetic touch.Bunch of people rushed the job, instead of agreed 1.5 day they worked one day till 9pm coming in our out (looked like they had another job nearby at the same time). As a result of my complaint, after sending multiple emails, making phone calls and few other visits most of the floor in a living room, whole floor in the hall, corner in a bedroom had to be reshuffled by another fitter and bars and trimmings had to be replaced. First fitter was apparently fired. The second fitter was surprised by the way the job was done - apparently by Tapi approved contractor.I would expect more than that. It caused unnecessary stress and waste of time.Pictures attached for everyone's judgement.

Excellent support from Craig finding a carpet and suitable underlay. He took great care putting together my order. The carpet fitters, Lee and his colleague, were also superb. Fitting both carpets beautifully into tricky shaped rooms.Huge thanks to you all!
