Rung RVBC today regarding my moving in date to the area. My call was answered by Leila who sorted out my issues re council tax and new bins without transferring me to other departments. What a refreshing change to speak to a human being at the end of the line who was efficient and polite and went above and beyond. Thank you so much.

Didn’t want to do this but left me with no choice !! White cardboard/paper sack not given on numerous occasions and I have to keep ringing the council to get one sent out. Council must be running out of these as they have told me they have sent one out through the post and guess what I haven’t received one again! Cardboard and paper is being left out side for a fortnight and not being picked up by the bin men when clearly left for them. Doesn’t give a good look in these parts of the ribble valley

There's rules and that I understand but given the state of the world and my own particular circumstances (which I went into detail about at my own embarrassment and upset in an email) I'd expect at least a short, genuine reply and not just to receive a council tax bill in the post to an address I don't live at for almost twice what it should've been, when actually I had lost my job through no fault of my own. Bill paid and glad to be out of your catchment area RVBC, let's hope you don't find yourself in circumstances like mine and need a bit of help... If you receive the response I did you would certainly be dissatisfied.

Upon arrival, I encountered a receptionist who was unfortunately quite rude when assisting me. I understand that working with the public can be demanding at times, but I believe that it is essential for customer-facing staff to maintain a professional and respectful attitude. While the receptionist's behavior was disheartening, I must commend her colleague at the payment desk for her exceptional service. She was efficient and courteous throughout the process, which helped alleviate some of the initial frustrations.I understand that each person has their own preferences in terms of job roles, but if dealing with the public proves challenging for certain individuals, perhaps alternative career paths should be considered. It is crucial for employees in customer-facing roles to possess the necessary skills and demeanor to provide a positive experience for visitors.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate your swift action in addressing my concerns.

Just moved into new house and whenever I have had to ring or speak to Council Officers I am always pleasantly surprised by how helpful they are. From sorting out new dustbins, to disposing of unwanted kitchen appliances, to checking on planning application am not giving 5 stars because the service has been perfect but because the attitude of the people I have dealt with has been amazing and I was shocked to see this Council had been given such a low overall rating.

Two weeks ago I called RVBC to collect my old washing machine and paid the non refundable fee for the service. I was told it should be collected that week, but may take up to ten days. Two weeks later the washing machine is still in my front garden by the gate despite two telephone calls to chase RVBC up. The worst of it was, the delivery men who brought my new machine could have taken it. Very poor performance. When I complained today RVBC blamed the weather......... (its only been snowing one day - what about the other 13 days)?
