Took 3 months to perform simple brakes repair and aux belt tensioner. Absurd time frame for this type of repairs. They did not inspect the vehicle properly - which is why the vehicle was sent to them and missed quite a few issues, including some major faults. Complete lack of professionalism. I can totally see that Jake Blakemore - complaining from their organizing skills, is correct in his statement. They missed a bolt on a tensioner they installed and haven't even checked basic things like oil and coolant levels and tire pressures. Even something simple as the engine oil being overfilled was missed or not attended to.

Mixed reviews about this Garage as my first experience was 5 stars. Incredible service and good price. My second was not so positive as the person who booked me in for the work on my car was very condescending and made me feel like I was not worthy of their services. I have never been lectured by a Garage before about my previous MOT. Be careful if you are easily offended by people judging you when just ring and ask them for help. Perhaps it was just me he took a dislike to as this is generally a great place as my first experience showed it was . Now I think they are just snobby

Very professional and helpful. We took our car there and after 5 years of living locally and taking our cars to different garrages we finally found someone willing to go the extra mile with thier service.Thank you

Very friendly staff, particularly the lady on reception who looks after you like she is your friend. I was booked-in for a 12 month standard service on my Vauxhall Astra and I was given a courtesy car (Seat Ibiza), pre arranged a week in advance.There were a couple of signatures required but there was no fuss and I was dealt with very efficiently. The car now runs like a 'dream'.

Great service from these guys. They were able to book me in around my timescales and all work was carried out within the the same day. The car was spotless when I went to pick it up. Cleaner then when I dropped it off! Would I use them again ? Definitely.

I can't thank them enough for finding a solution no other garage had found it. They are kind, honest people. I will certainly come back for any future repair!

We got there in the end however I doubt I will come back. I approached Howarth's garage with a simple thermostat change job. Upon meeting, I clearly stated what was wrong with the car and what needs changing however, I still had to pay diagnostic fee £80 + vat to be told exacly what I stated in beginning. Either way I get that as sometimes people make assumptions and they are wrong but I knew exacly what was the issue but since its an AA warranty cover I thought I might aswell get it done through them. Part was ordered and apoitment booked. Couple of hours later I get a call saying that they have removed fuel line and it had disintegrated" and I will cover the cost of it because its not a warranty part. Keep in mind the fuel line was fine when coming to garage.. and now suddenly its broken to be told " it comes with job".. thats ok but maybe you could cover at least partial cost of the item since it was done by your mechanic. Next day I am beeing called by one of the mechanics to be told that they have accidently cranked the car while fuel line was not connected and they spilled diesel all over my engine.. in the end im left short £200 and car smelling like diesel... they did their best to clean the spillage and the customer service was ok which is why i give 2 stars...I dont think I should be charged for what was broken by yourselves."
