Select Blinds & Shutters

Quality of the blinds is fine, happy with the fit and style all round. However, the service we have received over the last 3 months has been a big let down. We had our initial fitting date on 7th September. One of our patio door blinds was faulty, so we were told we would get a replacement within the next couple of weeks. After constant phone calls, we were told that there was no trace of our blinds being re-ordered. A month later, we were phoned and told our blinds had arrived but they were in no fit state to be issued to us. In the words of the woman we spoke to, 'she wouldn't accept them in her own house.' A week later, we received another replacement, which again needed to go back due to being faulty. During this replacement, the fitter advised us that he turned up to the showroom the week prior, and the blinds weren't actually there, only the toggles - so the story about our blinds not being in a fit state to issue to us was a lie, because there were no blinds at all. From there, over the course of 8 weeks, my partner and I have called countless times, to be told we will get a call back in 2 minutes, 1 hour etc. only to never receive the promised phone calls. We have had to scheduledays off work and unexpected WFH days to be flexible around this. We have finally gotten our blinds sorted today, 8th December, however, we were advised we were getting a brand new, replacement set. Again, another lie - what actually happened is our blinds were removed from our house, rewired and then returned and refitted on the same day – which raised the question as to why we had to wait 2 weeks for “new” blinds to be manufactured. I appreciate faults happen, however, honesty, and transparency and at least some form of progress updates would have been appreciated throughout the entire process. I’d recommend anyone looking for blinds to use another installation company as the customer service provided by select doesn’t measure up to standards.
