We had the most beautiful wedding last week-end and Edinburgh Food Social was a big part of making the day a success.We initially were going to work with Edinburgh Larder but we were passed on to their sister company which was a bit of an unexpected news but once we spoke to Kirsty, it became clear we were in very good hands! We were happy to learn as well that our money was going to a good cause which aligned perfectly with the spirit of the wedding.The waiting staff was absolutely wonderful, seamlessly serving delicious food (nibbles and simple sharing platters which suited the relaxed vibe of our day), decorating tables following our instructions and completely tidying up afterwards. The wedding was in our parents' house & garden so the team had to adapt to these tight conditions and did very well. Everyone worked quietly in the background which made the day completely stress free! All the guests commented on the quality of the food, especially the onion pie which was a massive hit with zero leftover the next day (keeping in mind the standard was high given half the crowd was French!). Allergies were kept in mind including a plate prepared especially for my celiac brother in law.I can only find one picture of the food at the moment and it's of the next day leftovers (delicious!) but hopefully gives a little idea.Seriously amazing team full of joy! Thanks Kirsty and team. We're planning on coming to one of your dinner events soon. :)

They did a fabulous job of making our wedding cake using flowers we dried from our garden. It was beautiful and tasty.

Edinburgh Food Social (EFS) catered one of our recent events. This event focused on supporting farmers, crofters and growers in Scotland's transition to sustainable and regenerative agriculture. EFS' food was ethically and sustainably sourced from local producers - showcasing exactly the kind of food we would like to see in a Scotland were food is produced in a socially and environmentally just way. All participants remarked on how excellent the food was. Kirsty followed our brief perfectly and did some magic estimating perfectly the amount of food needed! It was wonderful to have so many creative and colourful plates and definitely took our event to the next level :)

I booked Edinburgh Food Social for my 70th birthday party buffet at home with 60 guests. Having looked at options on the web I was impressed by their website content and their community ethos. I was also attracted by their flexibility to use local and seasonally available food. In the event they were very friendly and accommodating. The food was ready for collection on the day as arranged and exceeded my expectations. The quality quantity and presentation were very good. Being local they also provided the food on porcelain and silver platters free of charge on condition of return.I thought that it was good value for money and would recommend them to others considering a similar event.

Couldn't be happier with the service and food Kirsty and the EFS gang provided for our wedding at Summerhall. Kirsty made excellent suggestions when we decided to do sharing platters. She also steered me in the right direction when she knew some of my suggestions wouldn't work, and she was totally right about them all!Apart from one main dish and one pudding, the whole sit-down meal was vegan and I don't think any of the meat-eaters even noticed. There was enough food for people to have second helpings. We did sausage rolls in the evening and lots of guests said they were the best they'd ever had. Apart from the venue, the food is the biggest expense of the wedding day so it was really nerve-wracking waiting to see how it would turn out. It was the best decision we could have made and I'm so happy we went with EFS. Thank you so much for being a big part of why our wedding day was so fun.

Edinburgh Food Social recently catered our wedding at Riddle's Court, and we were so happy they did! Every single aspect of the experience, from meetings to discuss menus, arranging fine details closer to the event, to the food and service on the day, was absolutely exceptional.We dealt with Kirsty in the lead up, whose passion for food was evident, and she was so cheerful and accommodating, each meeting was a real pleasure.At the event, the family style dining, passing wondefully presented platters of gorgeous food around, made the meal incredibly sociable, and allowed people to serve themselves the quantities they wanted, choose the dishes that caught their eye, and the food types they liked best. Magic top-ups of anything running low happened seamlessly. Wonderful front of house staff.Special diets were easily accommodated, with grace, not groans.Everything looked, and tasted, so good too. Lots of our guests remarked on the incredible food, in their profuse thanks for a wonderful day. Pretty sure someone said the best wedding food they'd ever had.I am absolutely certain that ESF's contribution was a big part of what was an absolutely great day.We would highly recommend them, and wish their admirable venture every possible success in future.

Perfect.Edinburgh Food Social saved our wedding day as our original caterer ceased to exist less than a year before the big day.From the very first phone call, Kirsty made planning our wedding meal stress-free and fun. We didn’t want to have a traditional wedding meal and Kirsty completely understood this, helping us to find our vision and put together our perfect menu.The meal was pulled off without a hitch and tasted phenomenal. All of the staff were helpful, friendly and professional. We absolutely adored our meal and have received so many compliments from our guests. We would recommend Edinburgh Food Social to anyone planning an event.

Edinburgh Food Social were fantastic to work with. We received a variety of exciting and tasty dishes for our Summer Fair which went down an absolute treat. The whole process was really smooth and I can’t wait to work with them again for our next event.
