The service at Dowleys is brilliant. Have recommended them to multiple people following great service for MOTs and other work required on my vehicle. Very cost effective and happily use them again and again.

I recently purchased a car from Dowleys. This was my first time making a purchase of this size and using a dealership. Naturally, I was apprehensive but Richard instantly put me at ease. He was always willing to answer any questions I had, regardless of how silly they seemed! It was great to get advice from someone with so much knowledge and experience. I bought a Hyundai I30 at Dowley’s in August 2023 and they were efficient, friendly and thorough. I was without a car so was keen to get the purchase done quickly which they made happen.I test drove it and noticed the cruise Control didn’t work but within a week they had fixed it so I was happy to purchase. Mr Dowley was very helpful and dealt with me personally which made me feel valued as a customer. He even completed all documents while I was there so I could drive away as soon as payment was received. My only criticism is that the car I bought was on the more expensive side for the condition it was in. It had been looked after but the mileage it was on meant I thought the asking price for it was quite high. After owning the car for a week I noticed the Air conditioning didn’t work, they did a full service on it and fixed it free of charge. Overall a very positive experience and I would be happy to visit again for servicing.

Excellent service with detailed paperwork showing faults found and photos where appropriate. They offer a drop you off home service which is a lifesaver if you live alone without the availability of public transport. I have had several cars and a motorbike serviced there over the years and have always been pleased with the work carried out.

Richard was patient, our unable to be able to get to him due to different work schedules delaying our purchase. He kept us informed at all stages and guided us through the necessary paperwork for the purchase. The vehicle is as advertised and as yet, no issues! He gave us a reasonable price on our trade in and made the whole process of buying a car from Dowleys easy and straightforward.His team are pleasant and polite at all times, offering coffee and seating whilst Richard was otherwise engaged.

Dear guysI am pleased you replied as I did this the wrong way around. Later I wanted to amend my review but couldnt,- I am Alex Dier by the way.Anyhow I felt what I wrote, so I was honest and it was because I went for a free MOT retest, then there was a bill for Ł80 for a few minutes work you did on the car. Whereas if I knew this, then I would have just taken my car to a local garage for a brand new MOT where they would have done this few mins work as a gesture to customersAnyhow, that was my enrage, then this brew more in me, when I got home, left the below review. Then it still bothered me, so I called you guys the next day and I was told to go in and receive a refund- which later turned into a half refund. Anyhow, with that I am kind of okay, you pay for your garage, employ guys, buy all those technology, so ok, kind of okay. I was honest, I didnt lie and I didnt just write for effect, but I am okay with your aftercare serviceFeeling overcharged. Ridiculously expensive, which they should have said before not after
