Great venue, probably my second favourite room of the 4 Academy rooms, number 3 being my personal favourite. Nice size and a good view of the stage wherever you are really. The Cloudbusting gig I attended recently was fantastic.

Saw Goose, the band. Absolutely banging! Great atmosphere. For a band who normally play to 5000to 10k people, seeing them with 250 people was very special. Banging gig

Saw Beast in Black last week and it was an amazing concert. There were plenty of facilities and the atmosphere was incredible. Take care when attending gigs at the Manchester Club Academy (this one) and not to confuse it with the Manchester Academy venue also located on the same road.

Good size venue.Not overly crowded or too big of a venue.There's a bar downstairs so if you are looking for pre-drinks you can nip in the same building (or we did a 4 min walk to brewdog).The cloakroom was only £2.Pints are around £5 each - paid just over £9 for a non alcoholic kopparberg and pint of coors.Can get quite hot in there, so I wouldn't wear anything too cosy - gets hot very quick!Toilets on the same floor and unisex toilets downstairs.

First time at this venue and wasn't obvious from the outside, the sign saying academy 2" was only really visible once inside. Good venue for music"

Awesome venue. Perfect size. Not too small but not too big. Ideal if you want a more intimate gig which doesn't feel cramped. Highly recommended.
