Thank you to Northern Lights Cakery for our amazing wedding cake. Kate was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process given that we had to change our dates due to Covid. She has put my mind to ease, worked together with the florist and even sent over tasters to London! Everybody loved the cake and I must say it looked absolutely beautiful!!

northern lights bakery came recommended by a local, who lives near to where we got married. and it did not disappoint in any way. I ordered the Victoria sponge filling, butter cream and edible flowers in autumnal colours plus 6 loaded cup cakes for the kids (which went down particularly well). the cake was glorious to look at and absolutely yummy. Kate was great with communication and ensured all our needs were met. she delivered the cake to our reception venue. it was all amazing. thanks kate

From initial enquiries to the receipt of our completed wedding cake, Kate @ Northern Lights Cakery was just lovely beyond words. So very personable, professional and indescribably talented, our beautiful cake exceeded our expectations and tasted absolutely divine! Everyone devoured it and as we eloped we kept numerous portion Iin the fridge and even freezer and it tasted just as good as when first sliced. We chose the spiced pear flavour and it was perfect for a Christmas wedding celebration.

We are so pleased we found Kate at Northern Lights Cakery to make our wedding cake. She was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, sent us tasters in the post and worked with a florist to match the flowers to our colour scheme. The cake itself was absolutely delicious, and we had a lot of compliments on it from our guests too!

Our wedding cake has served as an amazing centrepiece and tasted great as well. Kate has been lovely and helpful throughout. The price was very reasonable. Overall well deserved 5 stars and would highly recommend.

Thank you, Kate, for creating our dream wedding cake! We contacted Kate at Northern Lights Cakery about a semi-nude, 2-teir wedding cake. We also had dietary requirements to accommodate for – both dairy free and gluten free. We had a video call with Kate, who talked us through everything in detail, providing suggestions for flavours, of which she has many. Honestly, you would never have guessed that the cake was gluten and dairy free! It was absolutely delicious, with many guests commenting on how good it was. Kate also liaised with Jane from The Woodland Florist to coordinate the flowers for our cake. The professionalism and attention to detail was excellent. Every single aspect of working with Kate and Northern Lights Cakery was perfection. Easy five stars and more if I could give them. She took time to get to know us and made sure that was reflected in the style of the cakes and the decorations added on top. We had two cakes and both were perfection, beautifully crafted and delicious. The flavors were divine, easily best wedding cake I've had and several of our guests said the same. She worked with me to choose flavors that were meaningful, even creating a flavor that wasn't on the menu because I had a thought it might be yummy. She didn't let pride get in the way or say I had no place suggesting something, instead she took that thought and turned it into art. She is kind, professional, talented and goes above and beyond. My florist fell through and Kate even gathered the left over flowers she had from decorating my cake and made me the sweetest little posy. If you are considering working with her, do it! Look no further, you won't be disappointed!
