The Bailie Bar
Another super special bar for locals, I'd say... off the beaten path, perhaps? My local friends brought me here for one or two, on a pub crawl. My gosh! It was my dream bar. (The Regal Beagle wishes) The real deal indeed. Great Scotch whiskeys!

Cool local bar with some amazing food and vibes. The bar is full of locals and the beer and whiskey are great. We had an amazing Scottish meal and will recommend this place to anyone looking for the local experience.

Came in for some food but in all honesty the menu was extremely overpriced for the quality of food they were serving, it looked good on a plate but wasn’t so tasty.I got the steak ciabatta but the steak was very dry and tough so I didn’t manage to eat it all which was unfortunate considering it cost upwards of £15.The atmosphere was lovely and ir was really warmly decorated for Christmas, definitely felt like a nice environment to be in despite the uncomfortable chairs.Service was pretty slow and when calling over wait staff my friend and I were completely ignored a few times.Probably won’t be back for good but seems like it would be nice enough for an evening drink.

I had an amazing time at this bar, thanks to Angus, our fantastic waiter. His humor and informative insights made the experience truly memorable. We couldn't stop laughing throughout the evening, and his kindness added a special touch. The restaurant's Scottish atmosphere further enhanced the ambiance, creating a delightful and unique dining experience. Angus definitely made our visit exceptional! Thank you, Angus!

The Bailie Bar
My favourite local pub when I lived nearby. Consistently tasty food, friendly staff and a fun atmosphere all round - whether that was for the pub quiz, when we were in at the weekend to watch football or rugby, or random quieter weekday evenings when we fancied a pint. Nice as well that there is live music on Fridays. A really great traditional pub.

Had a nice vegetable haggis but it was served with chips instead of mashed potato !Not really Scottish !!Tried their IPA (Indian Pale Ale) which was quite nice.We were part of a group tour and the staff looked after us all very nicely.Lovely comfortable seats and clean toilets.

Proper boozer this one. Brilliant pub atmosphere you don't find many places these days. Screens showing sport all around the bar. Staff beavering around the central bar area were very efficient and friendly. Nice to see so many punters interact with each other even if they didn't know one another - that's what the pub is all about. Decent range of beers and a good whisky selection. Dog friendly too.
