Just purchased new bedroom carpet from The Floor Specialists, Petts Wood. Very pleased with the service we received. Everything went very well, from the friendly service I received in the shop to the carpet fitters. Very positive experience would definitely recommend to a friend.

I was undecided on what flooring to go with but upon visiting the showroom and seeing Paul, his professionalism and knowledge helped me decide what was the best flooring for my lounge. I have now had the flooring installed and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs new carpet or flooring.

We bought flooring from this Flooring Co. a few yrs ago, and at the time I remember the service we got not being satisfactory. Fast forward 2 yrs, we've had an extension and needed the same floor across the kitchen/diner and we went back to Mr I Cant Be Bothered. Wont listen to what we had to say - with regards to the flooring patterns grooves being changed, or trying to acquire an alternative. My wife pretty much has been in despair as we thought there weren't another stockist for the floor we wanted. Glad to see there was another reviewer here mentioning 'obnoxiousness' as this is what the man has been to my wife. My wife's comment on this is - 'they are specialists in being unhelpful!' As luck would have it, found another stockist who could not have done more to help us - if you are reading this and are stuck, try AJ Roger & Sons, or stick it out at being grunted at.How can people/shops in this day and age behave like this? Still upset we gave him our business a few years back!Unfortunately the review wont let me post it without leaving a star as they doesn't really deserve one.

We have used Amtico Flooring twice, once for Amtico and the other for carpets. On both occasions we received great service at the shop and the fitters were excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend and use again

We have just had a large area finished in Amtico and the fit and quality is amazing. Would highly recommend this company. Very competitive and our qualified fitter Steve was fantastic.

Great service, very satisfied with our flooring. Paul’s product knowledge was extensive and we were given an array of different choices. Reasonably priced and a conscientious guy to deal with. We are ordering again soon. Would highly recommend.

We wanted to put in Amtico in our hallway which included 2 curved steps. We were impressed with the store and were talked through the benefits of Amtico. It was all very well explained and we decided it was right for us. The product range on offer was great and we selected this store ahead of a cheaper alternative based on what we had seen (we thought we would pay for quality). Unfortunately a regrettable decision.A person then came round to measure the area and look under the carpet for the flooring type. At this point in time - we have since been informed by another fitter - that the issue of our steps should have been raised. Not only are the steps curved, but they also needed more attention to the nosing (the front edge of the step in our case) i.e. measurements of the curve should have been taken to ensure that all of the front step could be covered with metallic edging. This did not occur and we were again regrettably none the wiser.Shortly after, a fitter came in (third party) and effectively did his job. I called up the guys a day later having inspected the job more thoroughly with my partner. Whilst the flat area was done OK, the steps were horrific. Part of the edge of the step had a metallic finish and the rest was the wood of the step (which is basically MDF!), which was the area which the nosing was not able to cover. The area under the step had nails exposed and an area to the side was left with no covering at all. I appreciate the area was intricate and not the easiest, I just expected a bit better or at least communication of what was achievable to manage expectations.I would expect, as with most services, some sort of response when faced with a complaint. And herein lies my frustration. I was faced with what was frankly aggression and obnoxiousness. I was commenting on a job that had been done poorly and there was very minimal attempt to reconcile the situation despite mutual agreement that the job was not up to scratch. There was a distinct lack of care on the basis that I had paid a fair portion of the fee. A very blunt proposal was put forward to use rubber nosing(!), followed by an offer to get a template made for the nosing on the steps (the main area of contention), although this would have essentially meant doubling our price estimate. We will probably have to pay as much to get someone to fix it, I would rather leave it in another person’s hands frankly.In all honesty, this is a small bit of flooring which will not really impact our lives too much and will eventually be resolved. What has upset me most is the service and lack of care that has been provided to us. Having admitted the job looked awful, there was no attempt to reconcile the situation. I do not write many reviews (certainly not negative ones), though I felt our experience must be shared to avoid a similar fate for others. I am sure these guys have installed great flooring for a many number of people. Sadly, this was not the case for us.Best,Sumit
