Hawthorn Hideaway

We recently stayed in Owl Lodge for a weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday and what a hidden gem this place is.The booking process and the weekend itself was so easy. I loved the hampers offered by Jo & Ronnie as it made planning and shopping stress free.The lodge was so well equipped. The bed was super comfy and we loved seeing the chickens when we spoke up (very late) on Saturday morning. We relaxed in the hot tub and took a walk along the canal to the local pub too. We also booked the BBQ hut as the weather forecast was dubious but we had a lovely stay.If we had any feedback at all it would be a lighter weight duvet for the summer as it was so toasty in the cabin!We thoroughly loved our break. Great place to stay, highly recommended!

Absolutely incredible place, the staff was so friendly and made us feel welcome and the lodge was absolutely breathtaking! The most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed. The facilities were great and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Already arranging to come back!! Thank you so much.

I found Hawthorne hideaway on Facebook and thought to do something different and booked the narrow boat for 2 nights as a surprise gift for my partners birthday. When we arrived we was very impressed, very secluded and spacious, hot tub, swing seats and benches to sit and look at the view or eat food. Little breakfast hamper that lasted us both days. Night time was absolutely unreal all lit up and romantic, me and the wife enjoyed several glasses of bubbly in the tub, it was very quiet and very relaxing, the couple was very welcoming and we even had little visits from the hens, ducklings and Smokey the cat. We will definitely be coming back for another visit in the future.

What a beautiful relaxing place ! We had the most amazing time so enjoyable with the hot tub, BBQ hut, Firepit and our full body massage! So peace among nature! Truly appreciated all the extra little touches and the hospitality of the owners!Definitely recommended

Beautiful cosy lodge has everything you need. Amazing hot tub. Spent three nights in owl Lodge and didn't want to leave it was so peaceful and relaxing. We met Josephine the owner who was lovely and friendly and gave us a bit of local knowledge on the area. The breakfast produce was good quality and enough for two mornings. We walked along the canal to a little village where there was a supermarket and a pub where we had lunch one day. Although we didn't use them on this visit there is a bbq hut and a sauna and steam room on site, you can also book yourself a massage if you wish. Hopefully we will return in the future as it is well worth a visit. Keep up the good work Josephine and Ronnie.

Absolutely fantastic stay, the Owl Lodge was incredible very luxurious very clean and in a perfect locationWe went for my wife's 50th and was greeted by very helpful staff. We had the BBQ hut for 2 hours which was exceptional and the following day we both had massages in the Yurt with Shelly, what a way to unwind5 star resort will definitely recommend and stay againThank you to you all

I've planned a long weekend stay at Hawthorne Hideaway for a very special surprise getaway for my girlfriend. We stayed at the Kingfisher Boat. It was absolutely amazing and exceeded all my expectations! The boat location was ideal - very private, peaceful and absolutely stunning sunset - perfect for that very special moment.The boat itself was everything you could wish for and was decorated very tastefully and equipped with all you need. The bed was comfy and I really liked the Kingfisher theme and blue and yellow colour scheme and spotlessly clean.I have ordered afternoon tea from DeliCo which was absolutely delicious and the presentation was outstanding. We also had chocolates from Ansley Chocolates which was the best chocolate I've ever had.In addition, we ordered barbecue which was again so delicious and had a really good selection of meats. With addition of free breakfast we did not need any extra food for the whole stay.Finally, we opted for the couple massage from Shelley - I highly recommend it. It was so amazing and we felt really relaxed and refreshed after.The surrounding area of the boat is stunning. Everything you need for a truly special weekend. Jacuzzi, sauna, fairy lights, barbecue, day bed, aromatherapy room. Very romantic and peaceful. Truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience for the body and soul.The only 'bad' thing about Hawthorne is that you have to leave it and go back to reality. Had a fantastic relaxing break at Hawthorne Hideaway, amazing lodge, hot tub, sauna, barbecue hut, lots of lovely extras and treats to make our stay special, they have thought of everything! Josephine, Ronnie and team are lovely! Perfect stay, hope to return.

Beautiful site and accomodation. We stayed on the kingfisher and it felt a million miles from the rest of the world. Perfect for some R&R in a luxury setting. The on site extras are fab and the hosts couldn't be more accomodating, there if you need them and unseen if you don't. We couldn't have asked for more from our stay
