A friend and I had an awesome weekend learning trad/multi-pitch climbing skills! Louise has a fantastic way of passing on information while still allowing space for you to experiment and learn which makes the process enjoyable as well as informative! There was also plenty of time to put the skills into practice to make it sink in and to have fun actually climbing! We both got so much out of the weekend, can't wait to come back and do more! She even managed to have multiple options covering every possible scenario with the every changing weather forecast!

Attended the ML training course in early October this year. I cannot recommend Freedom Outdoors enough! Louise and her team of ML Instructors were Excellent! they took the time to train and impart there vast knowledge and experience throughout the week. Lou's a great guide and instructor with a fantastic style and manner and is a pleasure to spend time with. She'll help you have awesome adventures in the mountains.My wife and I spent 3 brilliant days with Lou on a private scrambling/mountaineering course in May (my 2nd course with Lou this year); we wanted to build a foundation of skills and confidence to head out on our own for harder mountain adventures (specifically Grade II/III scrambles).Lou worked with us to tailor a course to our specific skills and personal goals, pushing us just the right amount into the adventure zone and helping us do stuff we never thought we'd be capable of and having tons of fun in the process.It's a testament to the quality of Lou's tuition that since then, we've put what we learned into practise and have had great days out on harder routes we'd never have attempted before - exactly like we hoped.Lou's a fantastic teacher with an impressively patient and uncondescending style that I really appreciate. She obviously has deep mountain skills and experience, which inspires confidence without ever being intimidating or showy, and is an easy person to spend time with, which is extremely helpful if you're trudging through several hours of drizzle or standing on a ledge waiting for someone to set up a belay. She also appears to be a master in finding good climbing in questionable weather, which comes in very handy in North Wales.100% recommended, no qualms, no caveats.

Lou is a great guide and companion. I’d not been climbing regularly and didn’t really have time to build up a network of trusted partners so gave me a great option for some easy grade longer mountaineering climbs. We did Cneifion Arête in May and then Bastow Buttress followed by Notch Arête in July. Highly recommended.

Lou and her team of instructors are brilliant. I have done two trainings with Freedom Outdoors. The first time was a two-day mountain skills training, which was my first encounter with navigation and scrambling. The learning was challenging yet very safe, relaxed, and fun, and I gained a lot of confidence. It was an excellent start to develop my skills in the outdoors. This year I returned for a mountain leadership training, which was a fantastic week of learning, exploring, friendship, mountains, lakes, laughter, trust and fun. Lou and Geoff are very experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate instructors, with an engaging and encouraging teaching style. The course is well organized, covering not only every checkpoint in the syllabus while walking in the beautiful landscape sunny and rainy, but also animals and plants, local history, and folktales, with the contents tailored to everyone’s interest. There are also plenty of opportunities to be challenged to practice what was learned throughout the week. I would highly recommend Freedom Outdoors!

Fantastic week in Snowdonia with Lou and the team! Built on the foundations I had previously developed with my QMD's and now have some key takeaways and areas to work on before tackling my assessment when the times right. Accommodation provided was the cherry on top of an unforgettable experience!

I spent a fantastic week doing Mountain Leader training with Lou. She is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and patient which creates a great, and most importantly fun, learning environment. Highly recommend spending a few days with Freedom Outdoors if you have the opportunity.

Lou was absolutely fabulous. Completed my Mountain Leader reassessment with her in Wales and she was professional, responded quickly and effectively, was cheerful and just generally helpful and lovely.I can thoroughly recommend her for any trips you may have planned, but book early as I know her calendar fills up quickly!Five stars :)

I did a 2 day naviagtion course with Lou which was tailored to each persons needs and current skills. It was really informative and I had a chance to practice some elements I already knew plus I learned some new skills.Lou is very patient and explains things clearly.It was also a really fun 2 days!
