This place is a little gem, cunningly concealed within the university campus. The output is wide and varied, so music for most tastes is performed in a great little concert hall. It's the kind of place that always seems to be at risk but one that we must never, ever lose. Support it if you love live music.

2nd visit to Turner Sime to see WNO Orchestra. Love the venue. Easy to access from M27. Good parking. Friendly atmosphere, great staff at the bar. Theatre is very intimate, right up close to the orchestra, conductor and the two guest singers who all were superb.Price of tickets, and drinks at the bar are very reasonable. Now need to move beyond opera. Please support this great venue, I live 30 miles away and intend to do so, it is that good.

I've been here many times over the years and I was here very recently. Lovely friendly venue with kind staff and excellent facilities. My only minor complaint would be that my very tall companion found that the seats have very little leg room, somewhat akin to flying with an Eastern European no-frills airline. Their knees were against the row in front the whole time despite sitting up very straight. However I'm 6ft and I had sufficient leg room to be comfortable, no overly generous legroom but sufficient. The concert itself was superb. A lovely venue for classical, jazz and folk concerts and my favourite.

I've been coming here for years and love the place. Really well chosen concerts at affordable prices. The venue is tucked away in the University but is well worth finding if there's a concert you're interested in. Some great jazz, classical and folk artists play there. The hall has very good acoustics and is personal and the musicians close up to the audience. Try the bar and cafe too - very reasonable and a good selection of drinks and snacks. A real gem in Southampton.
