Pakefield Plaice
First visit to Pakefield and we came across this fish and chip shop. We were very impressed; the fish was cooked to order and the medium was more than I could eat. The chips were crunchy and hot (nothing's worse than a floppy chip).The chap serving was friendly and when he realised we planned to eat them on the beach he gave us some napkins.I'm not a pensioner, but I was very impressed that they had a pensioners meal as a normal menu item instead of just on Mondays, so looking after the local community.

Small cod and chips £8.30 cooked fresh fish batter nice and crispy chips nicely cooked very enjoyable on a cold day at the coastAlso sampled squid (salt and pepper) £4.50 interesting taste would order again.

OH YES this place is the best!Walked in and the guy behind the counter has this big grin like 'imna sell you soem of the best fish and chips you ever had and you don't even know it yet!'So buoyed by his positivity I even treated myself to a couple of curry rolls with my cod and chips.Wonderfully cooked, chips were perfection, my gosh I can't say anything but good things about Pakefield Plaice

Both times I visited my battered sausage and chips were excellent.Prices seemed reasonable for a chippy so close to the beach, and the service was efficient and friendly.The small covered outdoor seating area was a welcome bonus.

The chips are a little bit dry, definitely not as good as Gibbs but the nuggets and batter sausage are very tasty.

Only 2 minutes walk from the beach and lots of seating at the premises and on the grassy area by the cliff tops. There is a ample free public car park along with a few spaces out front.It was lovely to see lots of food ready in the cabinet which meant our fish and chips were served immediately! This seems to have become a rarity with many fish and chip shops over the last few years. Staff were very polite and friendly. We will certainly be visiting again soon.

In a perfect world id have the fish from Perry's and the chips from the chippy from the chip shops I've visited. But that's not going to happen. There are a lot of exceptional fish and chip shops in the area, this place certainly is one of them. It tastes just like the fish and chips from the golden fish shop in my opinion, and is a similar price which is a fantastic thing as this is another favourite. The chips here are delicious, not greasy at all and the fish is served fresh. If I could I'd score this place 4.5 overall, only reason I don't give this 5 stars is because the cashier was chewing gum which is not professional, but he was polite and did a great job! Strangely I was served 2 pieces of fish rather than one. Probably not normal. This is only my first visit having heard great things about it from work colleagues. I would definitely recommend this place.

Coming from the North West of England and living near numerous excellent fish and chip shops, I was blown away by the standard of these fish and chips. Good sized portion, nice and dry,. Well worth the money.
