Southern Water

One star is far too many!Consistently dumpling raw sewage directly into the sea where I live. I may as well deficate in a bucket, walk to the beach, and throw it in the sea where my family swims, then maybe I wouldn’t have to pay such exorbitant prices for waste water ‘treatment’ that doesn’t occur. But then, how would they hand out millions in dividends to their shareholders and pay huge bonuses to their executives…

Pity there's no option for zero stars! They added my son's name to an account for a property AFTER he moved out, and without his knowledge. Only found out two years later when debt collectors traced him to his current address for a bill he didn't owe!! Customer service was shockingly appalling - took two months, multiple emails and hours on the phone for them to admit to having made a mistake. They offered a paltry compensation payment for the inconvenience caused and it now remains to be seen if their promise to remove the 'black mark' they added to my son's credit rating (again, without his knowledge) materialises.

Excellent service from Southern Water, I reported a blocked sewer at 11am Ross was here at 1245pm and cleared it.

This company's dumping of sewage into our rivers is destroying our wildlife and environment at the same time they are posting large profits. It's a national disgrace. When will they improve their practices?

Zero stars. Water supply went off at 9pm on Saturday. On Sunday morning I queued at the only open bottle station and after 1.5 hours I decided to give up and buy flavoured water at a supermarket. Managed to get some water 18 hours after the initial supply failure but with three young children and a health condition, having no ability to bath or shower is not helpful. Here we are on Monday evening, 47 hours without a water supply and your updates say services have resumed?! I have no water… this is unacceptable and your updates have been poor, the whole management of this has been terrible and you didn’t do enough, nor act quickly enough. It’s a shame we can’t choose our supplier because it wouldn’t be you!

Absolute joke of a company! Worst customer service, no help whatsoever! This company somehow added my daughter's phone number to an account in Portsmouth with an outstanding overdue payment (we live near Manchester, have never lived in Portsmouth, never had an account with this company, thank god!). The account showed up on my daughter's credit file and affected her ability to get credit. I was told by Southern Water that I couldn't make a complaint, I couldn't have a reference number, but it was logged on their records and they'd be in touch within 7 days. I was also told I'd receive a transcript of the Web chat. I've received nothing. Not even an apology. Ridiculous!

Ghastly company. Shocking customer service. Will take incorrect details from UKSearch and set up an account in anyone's name without checking details are correct. Corrupt and useless. Get rid of this company and their shareholders who are milking the profits whilst making residents lives difficult, and polluting our local area!

Joe was very helpful and lovely. Could not fault her and she gave me the answers I was looking for.

Since outsourcing customer service to Capita, Southern Water has become very poor.It took about half an hour talking to someone on the phone to change address, and after all that, it seems like the change never went through. Now I just get endless hold music when ever I have an opportunity to call. There is no email address, and live chat" is no longer available.I had previously left a 4 or 5 star review as I previously found the customer service very good

Terrible communication- send contractors out without informing you, who don't actually know what they're doing as there are no notes on the system". Wish we weren't over a barrel when it comes to having Southern Water as our suppliers."
