Arrowe Park Hospital

Having recently been a patient at Warrington Hospital (<1*) brought back my experience at Arrowe Park.I had been transferred from Clatterbride (5*) so you can guess the diagnosis. I was at death's door.The state of the ward (basically liver & drug patients) was disgusting. I was kept in isolation with my own toilet because my immune system had been almost destroyed by chemotherapy.Other patients used my toilet and left faeces, which were not cleaned up and disinfected. This is a real hazard for infection to a patient with virtually no immune system.I could go on but let me give one comical yet totally unprofessional example of the 'quality' of the nursing staff.I was on a drip and the bag of fluid was almost empty. So I asked a nurse to get the next bag of fluid, as prescribed. Without looking up she said I am not going to change it". Within the next half hour the nurses shift was due to change. I remonstrated with her and she did then look up to view the bag and still she would not change it.There were three reason why she could not raise her eyes. Firstly

We been to the hospital few days back well went great from greeting to meeting.Right we parked the car In car park area . no proper parking sign or board No proper information of where to pay for parking.! We came out in car park driving through the barrier were not opening…!???? Because I need not pay tickets And 4 cars behind. Well the authorities should put correct information over where should we pay tickets..! And how to pay. Ask 3 people they did have any information at all finally asked the staff who is smoking out walk inside to pay 15 people waiting to pay at one machine.. come on….! Really Hopistial appointment can be so stressful and parking is double stressful..

Attended for an appointment just over two hours, paid at the entrance for car parking and £10.00 was taken from my bank account. I am happy to say that I have been contacted by Security officer and it has now been resolved.

I went into Arrowe park for mental health issues and they are normally quite dismissive yes some staff were, but I would like to praise the security who came to check on me and take me out for a cigarette to calm me down and spent time talking to me and supported me in getting the right help and the staff who sat with me and actually heard me. It could have gone a lot worst! Thank you xxx

Just been to A&E because of very nasty tonsillitis that we thought might have turned into an abscess in 17 year old. Was seen by 2 dr’s and 1 nurse within 15 minutes. They were all absolutely amazing. Thank you NHS and staff for the best A&E service our family has ever ever received.

I calnt thank the staff enough today 2nd Oct 2023, for there swift and caring service at the X Ray department who looked after me after a bad fall, had a broken ankle on one leg and a broken bone on other foot. Then of to the plaster room where the nurses therefore so thorough. . Thank you.

Wonderful doctor gave me 2 cortisone injections at 2.30pm today. He was caring, compassionate, listening to all my problems. It says you cant put any names in your review but his surname begins with b. He will know its him. I want him to know his service was wonderful and i cant thank him enough

I am so grateful to the midwives at the Womens and Children’s helping me during my birth in May, all of the consultations and scans the staff were great and answered all my questions being a high risk pregnancy I would like to especially thank a midwife called Kim who was there for the majority of my labour and even stayed after her shift just to meet my baby and say congratulations she was amazing with both me and my partner xx

I had an appointment for a flexible sigmoidoscopy and was feeling a bit nervous. No need to have felt nervous at all, all the wonderful, cheerful, reassuring nurses made me feel totally at ease and the procedure went that well I didn't feel a thing. Endoscopy staff are all wonderful, never be afraid if you have an appointment there, you will be very well looked after. 10/10 the department is wonderful ❤️

Awaiting a phone call appointment from a Colorectal consultant ,Saturday 5.11.23.Still waiting 3hrs later. I know they are busy, but this is a joke. Last app took 3 months before we finally spoke. We have a life too.
