Fantastic house. As featured in Doctor Who! Well worth the visit, and free if you are a national trust member. There is a bit of a walk, (less than 10 minutes) so be aware of that if you are in a wheelchair.

Visited Tyntesfield with our friends and children, combined ages of 3,4 and 7.Volunteers were very knowledgeable, gardens and parks are kept immaculate and plenty to do with the family. This time of year they had games for the little ones on the lawns, which when added to all of the open spaces and park mention this day out was a hit. The walks are all tramper friendly however be prepared the house and gardens are over a large area. Walking will be involved!Didn’t get a chance to do the house today but will be back for sure to explore.Cafe’s we’re well priced and even though busy the staff were friendly. One criticism is that the tables in the main cafe were not cleaned after each sitting and were a little messy. However this did not alter the fun we all had.We took a picnic with us, make sure you take it with you when you leave the car park as it’s a long walk back, they have plenty of picnic tables by the walled gardens for families large and small to enjoy.

So very welcoming and beautiful!Staff were really amazing and made it a very enjoyable visit. The house was great, and it was like going back in time. Staff were very knowledgeable, and we were lucky to hear some piano playing too. We will need to return sometime to see a bit more of the grounds, as we ran out of time

A beautiful NT house and gardens. We only stopped for a short visit but there is lots to see and do here, especially for families. Free parking for NT members, just scan your card at the car park machines. It's a really big site so make sure you have comfortable shoes for walking in.

This stunning house and gardens are situated close to Bristol.A beautiful house that feels like a home. Patrons can enjoy wandering around large number of rooms taking in the art, the furnishings.National trust members free. The house tour ends in the gorgeous chapel. The gardens were lovely, there are long walks that you can do as well.Just a slice of peace and tranquility, wonderfully looked after by national trust volunteers and staff who are always happy to chat and showcase the property's highlights.Art includes a Rembrandt!Take time to go and visit.

There are only a few 'complete' houses owned by the National Trust, and this has to be one of the best.It is almost as if the previous owner has gone out for the day and left the door open. NT have had the foresight to keep it, 'as was' and it is fantastic. The gardens are a joy to walk through the many acres of parkland and formal areas with a vast array of mature trees and plants to enjoy.Visit, bring a picnic or takeadvantageofthe cafes, you will not be disappointed.

This was my second visit, the first was just after the National Trust had bought and opened the house. The work that has been substantial especially to the roof to make the property weatherproof. Since then work has been done to restore the house and gardens back to standard. There is an excellent reception area, café, shop and toilets by the car park, walks on good paths to the house and around the estate another café by the orangery and the rose garden and sawmill to explore. Dogs are widely welcomed except on the house and walled gardens. The greenhouses were open during my visit, which was a real treat. Excellent guides and volunteers explain the house to visitors. There was a battery powered minibus running from reception to the house as well as powered buggies for disabled visitors. This is a really excellent NT property to visit and well worthwhile spending the day here. Caution is needed leaving and joining the main road ehich is fast and busy.

Beautiful NT property & gardens. Lovely autumn colours. Cafe & toilets at the beginning and also later on. Volunteers really informative & friendly. 4 stars as the first time we came we were turned down due to no car park spaces - and when we came today the house was partially closed.
