11 year old son loves this. It has been great for his fitness and confidence and he has made new friends. John and the guys are really good with the children and make the lessons fun as well as tough (they get a very good workout !) . They have worked hard to deliver classes over lockdown but my son can't wait to get back in classes. If you have ever thought about something like this for your child I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys.

Joined up my kids and was so impressed with the way the instructors motivate enthuse and encourage through fun activities and training. Love seeing them increase in skills and confidence. I joined up to the adults class and have enjoyed the team spirit and benefits of a good workout.

This franchise is run by a very professional team. I was impressed by their training style for kids, even with the youngest members. They provide an active, fun and disciplined environment. Unfortunately, I would like to point out that their recruitment style is somewhat pressurising and tactical. They get you and your child in for a 'test' for a nominal fee (including a Gi). Bring you in for the final test a week later, for your child to become a white belt. Once your child is excited and proud of their achievement, you are hit with the high cost of enrolment. All without having one single lesson. Total cost approx 440 before any classes. 159 sign up fee, 199 black belt training kit inc. uniform (of which I have never received the trousers) and 80 per month). It is very difficult to say no once your child is now a 'white belt' and super excited about learning self defence. I felt very much 'on the spot' and didn't feel I could have a think before committing. My advice would be to offer a taster session and allow a 'cooling down' period where the parent can have a full refund if the programme doesn't suit the family. After 10 sessions, my child and I decided it wasn't working out. He felt he couldn't keep up with the training and wasn't ready for the commitment needed. I reviewed 4 stars as they really know what they are doing and it is clearly a successful model for some children.

What a fab place!!We initially came for prices and times for the children to learn self-defense... and we were so impressed that the whole family will be taking part.From the very beginning (phone call), we were fully informed with all that the club has to offer.Very friendly and welcoming on our trial dates, and the kids had fun.All questions were answered professionally and precisely, so there was no room for confusion.There are a few different options depending on age and what you need, however all prices are clear and fully explained.Would highly recommend this club and the staff.

We had a fantastic first experience for my son with Premier Martial Arts, Chelmsford. It is set in a very accessible location and the service provided has been of a very high standard.It is clear that Premier Martial Arts strives for their pupils to learn self-discipline and focus, gain confidence and experience the importance of goal setting. I feel that these are essential skills that are crucial for children's development.I am so pleased that I discovered PMA. My son is so excited about his next session, he can't wait to learn more!

Premier Martial Arts Chelmsford is a fantastic martial arts academy. My son started at the age of 4 and under the instruction of Mr Jon and Mr Perry, he has excelled and loves it! It is a family friendly orientated but professional club that teaches martial arts in an excellent way for kids. I am also a member of the adult classes and I can’t recommend them enough. All classes are fun, challenging and hugely rewarding. Whether you want to get fit, encourage your kids to exercise or just want a friendly environment to learn martial arts, Premier Martial Arts Chelmsford is absolutely brilliant!

Another fantastic workout for Leah and Ethan with the constant encouragement and guidance from Mr Chuck and Mr Perry. Very exciting evening watching them give their best efforts. Ethan even got rewarded with a white stripe, Well done!

Excellent instructors, they have so much patience with the children. My son has come on leaps and bounds since attending , his confidence is growing ,his fitness level is also improving . Highly recommend them for helping our children grow .
