Great experience with Reid Timber, and specifically Alastair. Had some trouble with the website and was helped out greatly and was able to complete my order via email. Product received today in thorough and careful packaging, and was delighted to receive AAA flame maple with beautiful figure.

Been looking for some nice timber with texture and interesting pattern to make 2 small open wall shelves for my kitchen and found this place through google. Wasn't too sure about the place after reading the last review but i am happy i went anyway.The collection of timber is beautiful, a lot of varieties and good price too. The owner mainly kept to himself. But he offered to open the sheds to let us have a look (where he kept some of the stock) even we went half an hour before he closes the shop on Sunday. He also offered us a measuring tape and help us cut the timber to size.Would definitely go back to get some spoon carving timber or more timber for wall shelf.
