Fabulous meal. Really excellent. Mussels followed by one of the best steaks I’ve eaten in many years (and I’ve eaten a fair few!). Service was really friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Loved it. One of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh

I last visited Wildfire back in 2018 and it’s still excellent. The place looks to have been redecorated and the overall ambience is lovely inside. The food and service were excellent. We started with the Arbroath Smokey followed by a rib eye and the fish pie. All dishes were perfectly cooked, hot and fresh. We finished with the warm chocolate cake and sticky toffee pudding.Everything was excellent and we can’t wait to return next time we’re in Edinburgh.

What a find! It has to be one of the best restaurants we have been to. It was small and cosy venue. The service could not be faulted and the food was superb. The presentation was spot on. Not too fancy but very nicely served. The small menu had something for everyone and cooked to perfection. We could not recommend it highly enough.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. The steaks were good, but I had hoped for more, as my steak wasn't seasoned and the home made chips were not crispy.

1st off let's start with the absolute best part of the meal. Her name was Madison and her service was extraordinary. The Goat Cheese appetizer and the Haggis were absolutely amazing. The Tomato Basil Soup had the perfect texture and a wonderfully robust tomato flavor. However if I hadn't seen the Basil in the Soup I would have never known it existed. Trust this American Chef and sweat that Basil in a little olive oil and add it to the soup as you simmer the tomatoes and it will then be a homerun! The cold smoke salmon was very disappointing. My guess is it was farm raised salmon as for this Washington State native, it left a lot to be desired. The Mussels and Prawn dinner would have been amazing had the kitchen taken the time to peel the shrimp first. Nobody can ever consider that a great meal when their fingers become messy when eating shrimp. Finally the Ribeye Steaks. We ordered 2 of then. They were cooked perfectly as we ordered. Yet this was the most bland Angus Ribeye I've ever had. Very little marbling at all and that is why we order a Ribeye is that marbling along with the 21 days hanging the restaurant boast about is not enough when you are afraid to use any salt or seasoning.A good chef could turn this restaurant into the best dinner house in Scotland with a little imagination because the front of the house staff is spot on and amazing. Step it up BOH you have work to do.

We had a lovely meal at Wildfire. The food and service was terrific. We had goats cheese and Cullen skink to start, both very good. We went for the vegetarian main and a sirloin steak, both faultless.Potion sizes are generous, would definitely recommend
