I learned to play on Lakeside as a teenager, so it’s very sad to see the course has been left to degrade to the point it’s now a stretch to even call it a ‘golf course’. It’s difficult to differentiate the greens from the fairways, and the rough is so thick if you miss the fairway by a yard you can kiss goodbye to your ball.By some margin the worst course I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing on. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

A fab day weather wise, but indifferent with my golf......The course is looking good, greens nice & quick, plus good cut on the fairway, it's just great to be able to have a knock, and for £7 for 9 or 18 holes over this bank holiday - no complaints from me.See you soon ⛳

Shocking. Greens like fairways and you lose balls on the fairways. Worse course I've ever played on and it is not being well kept at all. Signage useless and very hard to know your way round. Ended up skipping one hole altogether in error due to useless signage.Needs to be taken over badly.A cheek to charge to play on it!

Nice course, but confusing without a scorecard to show the layout. Now I've played it a few times and know the layout, what a challenging course, it looks easy but if you force it it will punish you. Love it now.

Possibly the worst maintained course I have ever seen and played on. For a tenner though what did I expect ? Well, I didn't expect to lose balls in the grass on the fairways as it was so long. The greens were awful and looked as if they hadn't seen a roller for a while and the ball bobbled about. The tee boxes were uneven and long grass so even teed up high the ball was still just above the grass. OK I suppose for a knock but we won't be back.

Definately the worse greens you’ll play on. Bunkers are like swamps, no sand just full of weeds. Should have a strimmer in them ratger than a rake. Not even a scorecard or pencil. Should prob pay the customer to play it for the advertising rather than other way around. Shame.

Course is playing well considering the bad weather. Course has improved considerably since Andy the new green keeper took over with some help from James m. And Co.

Enjoyable course for just £10 for 9-18 holes. Downside is the fairway grass is as long as the rough in well kept courses. With a bit more tlc the course would be so much better

Lakeside Golf Club
Great course for Golf, but also FOOTGOLF providing a technical course for the FootGolf Association of Wales annual tournament held in July for the last 2 years. Excellent facilities with an on-site bar and restaurant and free parking.
