This place is trashy. The moment you enter you feel a stench of cheap alcohol in a bar with half asleep staff, full of patrons that you typically see in a cheap pub in Brighton that are standing in line to get yet another glass of booze. Food is stale. Water in the carafe is tap water. The only toilet stall with the baby changing station has human feces overflowing to the floor. I'm glad I didn't have to pay to enter.

So this lounge is ok... for us we thought it was worth it..The food was mediocre, not overly hot and rather basic, but edible. It was a shame that the fresh bakery items were slow to be replenished, and we only saw plain croissant.The drinks, we were rather impressed with the drinks, taking into account airport costs and what alcohol we consume.. it was worth it.Much better than waiting in the main area.

Felt a very leisurely experience in the lounge today. Sara made great tasting drinks and went the extra mile. And Tayari was very attentive.

Lovely welcome from Dawn however didn’t make up for the disappointment inside the lounge….busy which is a good think but not enough staff to overcome the pressure… dirty plates everywhere sleeping in the sofas the food so bad … dry scrabble eggs left for ever cold meats …. Only the butter croissants were good just a big big disappointment… although a bar in the middle was very busy serving alcohol but the truth is we are not all for alcohol….

Food selection was okay.Women’s toilets were very dirty and run down. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or scrubbed for months.Some of the sofas need a good clean or replacing. Definitely needs some work done to the place.I don’t usually write reviews but think this needed to be written so hopefully they can make some positive changes.

Very pleasantly surprised. Comfy couches with good food options which included a variety of salads, soups, currys and dessert like a ones and pancakes with teas and coffees. All I would say is there was always a queue at the bar so they need more bar staff. It was light and airy. A good place to chill before boarding a flight.

Really good experience not to be waiting in the main hall. It's a shame they took away the table service and the choice of food isn't as good as it was. A few mis matched mains with sides.If they could do a few better options for mains it would defo go up a bit.

First time visiting a lounge at Gatwick. Used our free allocation through AMEX but if we had to pay full price, I can’t see it being worth it.If you plan on turning up without a booking you’re unlikely to gain entry so pre-book a slot to get fast track security access.The full english breakfast was super average and quite bland. Great selection of drinks and staff inside were friendly. Entrance staff are as others describe though.Pretty sure it mentioned adults only on the website but was full of kids..

Had a wonderful experience at No 1. lounge with Dawn and co. Great selection of food and drinks (soft drinks, alcohol and coffee), as well as a great view of the runway. Will definitely be booking again in future - an amazing start to our holiday!
